Shincheonji Volunteer Group, Pocheon, Donates Essential Goods to Soheul-eup Administrative Welfare Center for Neighbours
[Cheonji Ilbo Pocheon = Reporter Song Mira] On the 12th, the Soheul-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Pocheon city, Gyeonggi province announced that it had distributed 30 first-aid kits provided by Shincheonji Volunteer Group, Pocheon, to low-income households in Seondan-dong (neighbourhood), Pocheon city.
Members of Shincheonji Volunteer Group directly packaged and delivered first-aid kits consisting of essential medicines and hand sanitisers. A team from Soheul-eup Administrative Welfare Center visited each resident's home in person to deliver a first-aid kit and check on the health and safety of beneficiaries.
Director Shin-soo Shin said, "I am delighted we can provide the most basic necessities for everyday life. We will continue to support mini, essential projects for our neighbours in need."
Choi Gi-jin, Soheul-eup mayor said, “I am grateful to Shincheonji Volunteer Group who always put their neighbours first and put their words into practice. We will do the same.”
Meanwhile, Shincheonji Volunteer Group, Pocheon regularly practises voluntary activities to help their neighbours in various ways such as environmental clean-up and making and delivering hot meals. At the end of last year, they donated 50 boxes of ramen to low-income households in Soheul-eup.
