Human rights’ violations of the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) & their slander of Shincheonji Church
I have written several articles to
raise awareness of the acts of forced conversion being carried out today by the
Christian Council of Korea (CCK) in the name of religion in the Republic of Korea.
The CCK has subjected more than 1200 people to its coercive conversion
programme which kidnaps, confines and physically and emotionally abuses victims
until they renounce their religious beliefs and convert to their Presbyterian
doctrine. Two Korean women have subsequently died. This is a clear violation of
one’s human rights on every level.
I wish to direct readers to an article
below which summarises the history, growth and decline of the CCK and promotes
the work of peace carried out by Shincheonji Church. The teachings of the CCK are
founded on the Presbyterian doctrine of John Calvin who murdered men, women and
children who opposed his beliefs. During the Japanese occupation of Korea (1910-1945),
Koreans were forced to abide by this Presbyterian doctrine and bow down and worship
foreign gods. Today in 2018, the CCK buys and sells positions of leadership, has
established coercive conversion programmes and distorts the true meaning of the
word of God by feeding lies to its congregation members. The reason they do
this is because of the spirit that is at work through them.
Moreover, CCK slanders Shincheonji
Church, where the true meaning of the Bible is taught plainly and where the work
of peace is being fulfilled on earth according to the prophecies God made through
Isaiah (Isaiah 52:7) and Jesus Christ (Luke 19:38-42) in the Bible. The presidents
of Albania, Kosovo and Palestine - to name just a few - are supporting this
work of peace, as are many former presidents, chief justices and political,
religious and legal figures. Why does CCK, then, disrupt this work of peace and
label Shincheonji Church a ‘cult’? Who is true orthodoxy and true cult? Before labelling Shincheonji Church a 'cult', CCK should come before the Bible with reverence and listen to the plain teachings taught in Shincheonji Church. Moreover, the CCK
should let go of their desire for power and authority and stop preventing
people from coming to know the truth which is taught freely without cost in
Shincheonji Church (Revelation 21:6, 22:17).
