“There are laws and processes to become a member of God’s family. Just because you have faith, doesn't mean you have received God's promise. Today, we must belong to the 12 tribes of Revelation. Those who will be saved are the sealed 144,000 people of the 12 tribes, 12,000 in each tribe, and the great multitude. These people are the kingdom and people of God in the new era. Salvation cannot be found anywhere else.”
ManHee Lee, Chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus), spoke this at the Shincheonji Bible Seminar held on the afternoon of Saturday 21st October at Shincheonji Gwangju Church of Peter Tribe in Buk district, Gwangju.
The Shincheonji Bible Seminar nationwide tour, to which church leaders (pastors, evangelists, and preachers) were invited, was given by Chairman Lee himself in large cities five times in the month of October, and ended successfully with great reviews. The leaders of the 12 tribes were also present. At the site, about 4000 believers, including about 300 pastors, attended to hear Chairman Lee's in-person lecture. The sight of attendees standing in line from the front to the back of the podium to listen because of a lack of space to sit proved the high interest in the revealed word from Shincheonji.
On this day, the Bible Seminar was broadcast simultaneously in 10 languages, including Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Russian, French, German, Spanish, and Mongolian, through the official YouTube channel of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
◆“To be saved, we must learn the ‘Revealed Word' from the messenger of Jesus”
“There are many pastors on earth who do not know what religion is or what the Bible says. The fulfilled reality of the Book of Revelation can only be testified by the one who has seen and heard it. When you turn to Revelation chapter 10, you read about someone who receives the opened scroll and eats it. This person testifies again to many peoples, nations, languages and kings (churches). People need to learn from this individual and pass it on.”
On this day, Chairman Lee testified the fulfilled realities of the entire book of Revelation and gave a lecture on the theme of ‘144,000 and the Multitude in White That Will Be Saved.’ He testified in detail about the prophecies in the entire book of Revelation and the reality of what he saw and heard, repeatedly emphasising what God recorded in the Bible and that 'I must know who the Bible says I am.' He said, “If you believe that the book of Revelation is the final history that concludes the history of the Bible, then you must know what Revelation is saying,” and, “(In the Book of Revelation) there will be an end to the corrupt world of the chosen people (Revelation 6, Matthew 8:11-12, Revelation 21:1), and after this, there will be the harvest and sealing (writing the Bible on one's heart) of those born of God’s seed (Revelation 7, 14).”
Regarding this, Chairman Lee said, “At every seminar, I asked the pastors which tribe they belonged to. They couldn't answer.” He continued, “There are 12 tribes recorded in the Book of Revelation. God's will is therefore to create these 12 tribes, which include the sealed 144,000 and the great multitude.” “If you do not belong to the 12 tribes, you do not belong to the kingdom of God,” he said. He also said, “Pastors, elders, and believers must come to their senses,” and “Go into the Word of God, understand it, and live according to it. You should not live out your life with a desire for authority.” He said emphatically, “The result for one who does not know is hell.” In addition, he asked, “God, Jesus, and the Bible are one; so why should we fight?” and said, “Let’s become one in God.”
◆Reflection on 30 years of pastoral life... “We turn church members into fools and remain silent before God”
Pastor A (77 years old) from the Presbyterian Church of Korea, who attended this day at the recommendation of a fellow pastor, said of Chairman Lee, “Even at his advanced age, he did not take a sip of water during the 90 minutes he was testifying the Word and did not even turn to the Bible. I was stunned.”
Regarding the differences between Shincheonji and the established denominations, he expressed surprise by saying, “The fact of the matter is that the Bible has not been taught well in seminaries, so there were many topics which I had to study on my own. However, Shincheonji answered all the questions and difficulties to do with the Bible, using the Bible alone.” He continued, “A true pastor should no longer throw stones and say ‘cult,’ but check the Bible, accept what is right and correct what is wrong.”
In addition, he reflected on his 30 years of pastoral life, saying, “I, ignorant of the Word, made fools of my church members, preventing them from going to heaven. I could not have stood before God.”
Pastor B, who has been serving in the reformed Presbyterian Church of Korea for 23 years, said about his reason for attending, “I came to the Shincheonji Church lecture to study and explore the Book of Revelation,” and added, (After listening to the lecture), “I'd kept silent about the Book of Revelation out of fear, but in the future, I will study (the words of Shincheonji) more deeply and strive to share it with other pastors.” He continued, “I am going to recommend this study of the Book of Revelation to other pastors,” and added, “The interest and response to Shincheonji is increasing.”
Regarding Chairman Lee, he said, “I was impressed by the way he conveyed the contents of the entire book of Revelation, which I had only seen in writing, in a practical way without even looking at the Bible,” and, “I was particularly impressed by the message that he testified regarding the fulfilled realities of the words of the Bible.”
Regarding the most impressive part of the Bible Seminar, he said, “I was especially impressed by the question ‘Do you belong to the 12 tribes?’”, and, “I now believe that you can only find salvation if you belong to the 12 tribes.”
◆Dereligionisation is accelerating… Shincheonji announces ‘100,000 graduation ceremony’ again this year
The Shincheonji Bible Seminar is already being held for the 8th time this year. Earlier this year, at the request of local pastors in the Philippines, a Bible Seminar was held at the Shangri-La Plaza in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, with about 1200 pastors in attendance. A total of 14,000 people, including 800 pastors from the established denominations, attended the Shincheonji Bible Seminar held in the first half of this year (April to July), attracting attention as the main target audience was 'domestic pastors.'
The Shincheonji Bible Seminar, which was held in the second half of the year, attracted attention as Chairman Lee again went on a domestic lecture tour, despite being over 90 years old. Chairman Lee’s recent in-person lectures were held every four days. The Seoul and Daejeon Bible Seminars, which began on the 7th October, were on the theme of 'The Fulfilled Realities of the Entire Book of Revelation', followed by the theme 'Betrayer, Destroyer, and Savior' in Daegu, and the theme 'The Reality of the Promised Pastor at the Second Coming' in Busan. Going through every page of the Book of Revelation, the meaning and reality of the prophecy were clearly testified. In Seoul, over 1600 people including 450 pastors attended, in Daejeon, over 2000 people including 200 pastors, in Daegu, over 2000 people including over 100 pastors, and in Busan, over 1600 people including over 100 pastors attended.
Currently, the number of Shincheonji believers exceeds 310,000. Unlike the religious world where the number of church members is rapidly decreasing, Shincheonji Church of Jesus is raising expectations by announcing a '100,000 Graduation Ceremony' to celebrate new believers this year.
