"The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times": The True Explanation of Matthew 24 (Shincheonji Church)
From October 4th-November 2nd 2019, Chairman Manhee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus (hereafter Shincheonji Church) delivered a series of seminars entitled ‘Open Bible Seminar: The Second Coming and Harvest’ to an audience of 30,000 in six cities in South Korea. There were 45,000 registrations in total, and 5000 signed up to receive follow-up Bible teaching online or offline. Shincheonji Church then began to establish Bible teaching (evangelism) booths throughout South Korea to spread the word freely with as many people as possible. This was followed by an unprecedented graduation ceremony, on 10th November 2019, of 103,764 students from 113 nationalities who had completed Shincheonji Church's intensive six-month Bible study course, marking the largest one-year growth of any single religious institution in modern history.
On 15th-16th November, the twelve tribes of Shincheonji Church hosted their own Open Bible Seminar with themes drawn from the four Gospels and book of Revelation that included The Wine of Adulteries; The End of The Age; The Counselor and Elementary Teachings; Creation of the 12 Tribes, the New Kingdom and New Nation Promised in the New Testament; The Covenant and the New Covenant; Seed and Harvest: The Seed of God and The Seed of the Devil; The Promised Temple and Judgment; Have You Been Harvested at the Second Coming?; The Reality of the Tree of Life; Revelation Chapters 6-7, 13-14, 18-19; The Victory of God at the Second Coming; and The Second Coming and Harvest.
The meaning of Matthew 24, which is entitled 'The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times', has been debated by many Bible teachers. When the disciples asked Jesus about the signs of his return (second coming), Jesus told them that there would be famines, earthquakes and wars among nations and kingdoms. Many Bible teachers maintain that this is a physical war. Is it really a physical war? Haven't wars, famines and earthquakes existed since time immemorial? Then what kind of famine, earthquakes and wars is this referring to? Will Jesus really come riding on a physical cloud in the sky? Shouldn't a believer know according to the Bible so that we can find Jesus when he returns? Jesus strictly warned us not to add or take away from the true meaning of his words (Revelation 22:18-19). I leave you with the true explanation of the words Jesus spoke in Matthew 24 nearly 2000 years ago. Take a pen and paper; sit back and enjoy😊
