Shincheonji Church of Jesus' youth volunteer group, "We Are One," participate in a nationwide blood donation campaign

"No matter how much science advances, blood cannot be artificially created. The only way to save someone's life is through blood donation.”

In just one month, 7500 youth volunteers from Shincheonji Volunteer Group's "We Are One" participated in a nationwide blood donation campaign in South Korea and rolled up their sleeves to give blood and save lives. A total of 8000 people had applied for the '2025 We Are Red Second Half Blood Donation Campaign,' which began on July 27th.

This campaign, which embodies the active participation and sharing spirit of the youth, is generating a heartwarming response, providing a significant boost to healthcare facilities struggling with blood shortages. It is also the 'largest youth blood donation drive in the country.'

Yu-yeong Han, who revealed that she has donated blood 185 times, said, “Donating blood is a precious service that only healthy people can do,” and added, “I felt a great sense of accomplishment when I was able to directly help a friend or family member with their surgery using my blood donation certificate.”

Hyo-seung Nam, who has donated 157 times, said, “I first encountered donating blood during my military service and have continued to do so ever since, believing that even a small act of giving can directly help save someone’s life. I would like to continue donating blood as long as my health allows.”

In particular, the Incheon Gyeyang Church Youth Group shared their warmth by collecting 70 blood donation certificates and donating them to a young man awaiting surgery. The young man, who received the certificate, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am truly grateful. Thanks to the support of the youth members, I will gain the courage to successfully undergo the surgery.”

An official from the Korean Red Cross Blood Management Headquarters expressed his gratitude, saying, “Shincheonji is the only organisation that has had so many of its members donate blood in such a short period of time.”

A We Are One official said, “Blood donation is an irreplaceable act of sharing life,” and added, “As the campaign continues until October 18th, we hope that more young people will join us and help save the lives of their neighbours.”

With this being Korea’s largest youth blood donation movement, the evidence is clear proof that the younger generation is leading a culture of compassion and life-sharing.

Meanwhile, the We Are One Volunteer Group is comprised of 90,000 young people (70,000 domestically) from the 12 domestic tribes of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and 75 countries, including the US and the UK.

A remarkable moment of unity unfolded as Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Hwagok Church (Bartholomew Tribe) hosted a joint worship service with pastors from 13 MOU partner churches. The event, held on September 8th 2025, was more than a gathering - it was a demonstration of how faith can transcend denominational boundaries through the Word.

The service opened with prayer (Revelation 21:1-4), hymn 248 “The Morning Light Is Breaking,” a welcome address, and congratulatory remarks, followed by a special video, sermon, ministry report, cultural performances, and the Lord's Prayer.

The sermon message highlighted the importance of returning to Scripture as the true foundation of faith. The speaker urged pastors and attendees alike:
“Today, let us set aside tradition and listen humbly to the words of Revelation. In God’s Word, we can all become one.”

Through this, the gathering became an opportunity for pastors and members to reflect on the essence of Christian faith - hearing, understanding, and living by the Bible.

Pastors in attendance shared candid responses that revealed a shift in perception.

One pastor admitted: “Hearing Shincheonji's message directly has changed my perspective. I hope this joint service allows pastors here to be filled with the Word and to share it faithfully with their congregations.”

Another pastor added, “For years, I never considered Shincheonji seriously. But today, I realised the depth and structure of the teaching. This service renewed my determination as a pastor and reminded me of the true purpose of ministry.”

Others noted the sincerity of Shincheonji members and the grace they felt during the worship.

Domestic Mission Department Head, Hak-sil Lee, explained the broader vision:
“It is time to prepare for a greater leap forward with our MOU partner pastors. This joint service showed that we can share faith and unite in one Word.”

The event also featured ministry updates, cultural performances, and video presentations that reminded participants of the historic and spiritual significance of the moment.

This gathering marked an important milestone: Shincheonji's Hwagok Church and 13 partner churches affirming unity through the Word of Revelation. Attendees recommitted themselves to returning to the essence of faith and looked forward to ongoing cooperation and exchange.

As one pastor concluded:
“Shincheonji's worship was filled with grace. Experiencing it firsthand showed me the seriousness with which members lived by the Word. Going forward, I hope for even deeper and more systematic cooperation.”

A panoramic view of the Masan Church of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Busan James Tribe
On July 23rd, 2025, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Masan Church (part of the Seoul James Tribe) held its long-awaited dedication service for a brand new temple - a stunning five-storey sanctuary built on decades of prayer, perseverance, and explosive spiritual growth.

What began in 1993 with just 31 believers has now grown into a thriving congregation of 3384 members, marking more than a 100-fold increase. The spark? The church’s participation in the 1994 Revelation seminar, which opened a door to deeper understanding and inspired continued evangelism and Bible education.

Through challenges like COVID-19, delayed site approvals, and restrictions on signage, the Masan congregation never gave up. Their dream? To build “a place that God is pleased with”-and now, that dream has come true.

The newly dedicated temple covers over 14,000m² (150,000 sq ft), with two underground floors and five above-ground storeys. It was designed as more than a place of worship - it is now a spiritual base for teaching, service, and community care in Masan and beyond.

Members who helped construct the church from the ground up describe it as, “A temple filled with the tears of prayer and hope for the gospel.”

Another said: “I still remember carrying soil with a shovel during construction. Now, this space stands as a testimony of God walking with us.”

The response from the local community has been extraordinary. With increased curiosity and visitors from traditional churches, even some pastors who once discouraged others from attending are now witnessing the very people they warned begin to flock towards this new house of worship.

“One side tries to stop people, but the other side keeps coming. What’s happening?” a local commented.

This wave of attention reflects what many call a spiritual shift - a hunger for the Word being fulfilled, and a sign that something unique is happening through Shincheonji’s mission.

Beyond Sunday worship, Masan Church is committed to community care. The congregation continues to serve through blood donation drives, environmental cleanups, and supporting vulnerable neighbours.

As one church representative shared:
“This new temple is evidence of a journey built on the truth of God’s Word. And we will continue to serve as the salt and light in this region.”

On the 26th July, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Seoul-Southern Gyeonggi Branch held a Gratitude event for approximately 100 Korean War veterans.
“As time passes, we have become veterans, but the Korean War is a living history that must never be forgotten. I sincerely thank the Shincheonji Volunteer Group for providing this meaningful opportunity to reflect on the value of peace.”

On the 26th July, and in commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the Korean War Armistice Agreement, the Seoul-Southern Gyeonggi branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group held a commemorative event to express gratitude and respect for the sacrifices and dedication of Korean War veterans. Eun-seok Choi, head of the Songpa Branch of the Korean War Veterans' Association, stated the above.

On that day, nearly 100 Korean War veterans and their bereaved family members were in attendance. The event included a children's choir performance, a screening of a video commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group's "Love Your Country, Share Peace" nationwide campaign, commemorative speeches, award presentations (distributed to the heads of four branches of the Korean War Veterans' Association as an expression of appreciation for veterans), special performances, and a luncheon.

In South Korea, where one can live with relative freedom, peace and prosperity, one must not forget the sacrifices of these veterans of war whose contributions (and treatment of) are often overlooked. As such, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group is working hard to widely publicise and record their noble deeds through memorial ceremonies, campaigns, and events.

Indeed, since 2015, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group nationwide has held the 'Love Your Country, Share Peace' campaign in June (Patriot & Veterans Month), in order to raise civic awareness of the noble sacrifice of war veterans who died for the peace of Korea and to promote a world of peace without conflict.

On the 11th July, at the "Sharing Rice of Love" event held at the Veterans Hall in Yongsan District, Seoul, Young-sik Choi (left), president of the Yongsan Branch of the Korean War Veterans' Association, poses for a commemorative photo after presenting a plaque of appreciation to Hyeon-ji Lim, head of the Namsan branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group
In present-day South Korea, where the contribution of Korean War veterans who dedicated their lives for the peace of the country is often overlooked, one organisation is working hard to widely publicise and record their noble deeds through memorial ceremonies, campaigns, and events - the Shincheonji Volunteer Group.

As an expression of gratitude to veterans of the Korean War and to reflect on the value of peace, the Namsan branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group held a "Sharing Rice of Love" event at the Veterans Hall in Yongsan District, Seoul on the 11th July.

On that day, the Namsan branch delivered 40 4kg bags of rice, totalling 160kg, to the Yongsan branch of the Korean War Veterans' Association. The donation was made in the hope that it would provide practical assistance to veterans experiencing difficulty due to the hot summer weather and persistent inflation.

The event concluded with a photo shoot for veterans that was held on site and warm applause.

May the sacrifices of the generation that experienced war never be forgotten and the value of peace be passed on to the next generation.

Meanwhile, since 2015, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group has held the 'Love Your Country, Share Peace' campaign nationwide in the month of June (Patriot & Veterans Month) in order to raise civic awareness of the noble sacrifice of war veterans who died for the peace of Korea and to promote a world of peace without conflict.

On Friday, 12th July 2025, Shincheonji Church of Jesus (Shincheonji) held a striking pastors’ seminar at its Kawala branch in Kampala, where more than 450 participants, including 164 pastors, gathered in person to listen to the online testimony of Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji.

The seminar was centred on the actual fulfilment of the book of Revelation, a message the church asserts only Shincheonji is testifying to in the world today.

Chairman Lee, speaking virtually, highlighted the importance of maintaining the word of God exactly as it is written: “We must not add to or subtract from the book of Revelation. We must believe in the realities of its fulfilment.”

He further challenged believers to explore their identity through the lens of Scripture, posing the question: “Who are you in the Bible?”

Many pastors, visibly moved by the message, acknowledged that the book of Revelation had long been a mystery to them until this teaching that carries clarity and conviction. As a direct result of this seminar, 16 pastors signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), formally requesting Shincheonji to teach both them and their congregation members.

Meanwhile, Shincheonji continues to courageously proclaim the actual fulfilled realities of the Book of Revelation, maintaining its unique stance globally by providing clear testimony of what has been fulfilled according to Scripture.

A formal memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between Shincheonji Daegu Church and several Presbyterian churches in the Daegu area, aiming to cooperate on gospel work and raise up future spiritual leaders.

The signing ceremony was held on the 8th-floor main sanctuary of the Daegu Church, and representatives from both sides joined together in prayer and mutual respect, marking the start of a new chapter in inter-church collaboration.

- Support each other in Bible education and share related materials

The church emphasised its continued commitment to exploring the true meaning of the book of Revelation, with the hope of contributing to the restoration and unity of the Korean Church beyond denominational boundaries.

Su-jin Kim, the head of Shincheonji Daegu Church, expressed heartfelt expectations:
“This partnership is a precious connection led by heaven. I sincerely hope our churches will continue to work together - spiritually and practically - to share the love of Jesus with our local community.”

“I was aware of fast fashion's issues, but this campaign helped me understand the importance of resource circulation more deeply. I’m grateful to organisations like Shincheonji for taking environmental responsibility seriously.”

To mark ‘World Environment Day’ (June 5th), which raises awareness of the gravity of environmental issues and encourages action, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Dongdaemun Branch held an eco-conscious campaign in the heart of Seoul, Korea, and one notable guest, Veronica, a minimalist lifestyle YouTuber from the United States, shared her reflection and even filmed the event for her YouTube channel and pledged to include links to Shincheonji’s website and social media in her video description.

Hosted in front of Bosingak Pavilion in Jongno, and held under the slogan “Green Nature, Let’s Protect It Together,” this event drew participation from 158 citizens, including international visitors, and addressed the impact of fast fashion on our planet - offering both education and hands-on activities to citizens and tourists.

Fast fashion refers to the rapid production and consumption of cheap, trendy clothing. While convenient, this system leads to sizeable textile waste, pollution from dyes and synthetic materials, and excessive resource consumption.

Shincheonji Volunteer Group sought to raise awareness about this issue while offering practical alternatives.

On that day, the eco-campaign included educational booths on how fast fashion harms the environment, a “Message to the Earth” station where citizens could write pledges, a clothing and shoe donation stations (170+ clothing items and 30 pairs of shoes shared), and DIY eco-bag workshops using traditional bojagi (Korean wrapping cloths).

These reusable bojagi bags were especially popular, offering a cultural and sustainable alternative to plastic.

Participants voiced appreciation for the event. One local, Mr. Lee (65, alias), shared:
“I’ve seen celebrities do clothing drives, but this is my first time seeing a volunteer group tackle fashion and environmental issues together. It really made me think.”

The campaign not only provided hands-on ways to recycle and reuse but also planted seeds of environmental consciousness in everyday life.

Meanwhile, the 'Green Nature' campaign held by Shincheonji Volunteer Group nationwide is purposed to preserve a beautiful natural environment for posterity by carrying out wetland conservation activities, environmental cleanups to protect major facilities and cultural assets, disaster recovery activities, public awareness campaigns for environmental protection, and the creation of flower paths in illegal dumping areas.

Delivery man takes a drink from the refrigerator at a delivery checkpoint set up by the Shincheonji Andrew Church. Inside the checkpoint, a handwritten message of encouragement and a notice reading, "Thank you, delivery man, for your hard work" are posted
In today’s fast-paced society, delivery workers have become essential to everyday life - ensuring groceries, parcels, and necessities arrive at our doorsteps on time. In recognition of their hard work and challenges, the Andrew Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been operating a dedicated rest station for delivery drivers for the past year in the Republic of Korea.

Located near the Andrew Tribe Training Centre, the small but thoughtful “delivery booth” was established in 2024. The space offers a refrigerator stocked with cold drinks year-round, and during this summer’s record heat, the church added cooling patches to help workers beat the sweltering temperatures.

One church representative explained:-
“Delivery workers are the ones who keep our daily lives running. If a small act of kindness can help them, that alone makes it worthwhile. We will continue to expand our support according to the seasons.”

The initiative has been warmly received. One driver shared, “Even a short break with a cold drink gives me strength to finish the day.”

Another added, “The cooling patches this summer were especially helpful. It’s nice to know someone thought of us.”

These voices highlight how thoughtful community care can have a lasting impact on those who are often overlooked yet essential.

Looking ahead, the Shincheonji Andrew Church plans to expand its contributions by organising plogging (litter collection while jogging), environmental campaigns, and other community service programmes. By combining care for essential workers with broader social engagement, the church hopes to strengthen its role as a trusted partner in the community.

For Shincheonji Andrew Church, this initiative is not just about supporting delivery workers - it’s about living out love in action and showing what it means to build a society where no one is left behind.

Head lecturer delivers a lecture from the Book of Revelation at a gathering held at the Guri Church of Shincheonji Church of Jesus

In order to address misunderstandings and prejudices about Shincheonji Church of Jesus and to establish deeper connections with communities throughout South Korea, Shincheonji Church of Jesus regularly opens its doors to the public with Bible-based lectures and exhibitions centred on the Book of Revelation.

Accordingly, on the 13th August, the Shincheonji Guri Church held a lecture on the theme of “The Fulfilment of the Book of Revelation and the Promised Pastor.”

To an audience of nearly 700 people, including pastors, local religious (and lay) residents, and church members, the head lecturer of the Shincheonji Guri Church Chang-hoon Kang delivered the lecture.

Lecturer Kang began the lecture by emphasising the importance of the Book of Revelation and said:-

“Jesus said 'it is finished', because every prophecy from the Old Testament was fulfilled. In the same way, there are prophecies from the New Testament that must be fulfilled at the time of the Second Coming, and among the New Testament, the Book of Revelation is the core text.”

Lecturer Kang went on to state that Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been created as a result of the fulfilment of the promise recorded in the Book of Revelation. Citing Acts 5, and in the context of the rapid growth of 100,000 graduates in recent years, he said, “The reason Shincheonji Church of Jesus is growing like this is because God is with it.”

Finally, he emphasised the importance of Revelation 22:18-19 and said, “It is written that if you add to or subtract from the Book of Revelation, you will not be able to enter the kingdom of heaven,” and, “If you do not want to add to or subtract from the Book of Revelation, you must learn the Book of Revelation,” and briefly introduced the Zion Christian Mission Centre, an educational institution within the church.

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Church of Jesus continues to hold lectures nationwide to correctly inform the public on the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation.

On the 23rd August, the Gimpo Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group launched a "Language Communication Campaign" with local residents at the Clock Tower Plaza in Janggi neighbourhood, Gimpo City
Changes in language among the 'Gen Z' demographic, which is largely adept at technology, has created a barrier of communication with the older demographic. This is not least the case in South Korea, which possesses among the most advanced social media landscape.

Accordingly, in order to reduce misunderstandings and divisions that result from different language usage across generations and to restore a sense of community through the proper use of language, the Gimpo Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group launched a "Language Communication Campaign" with local residents at the Clock Tower Plaza in Janggi-dong, Gimpo City, on the 23rd August.

Resident Ji-hye Lee (13, female), who participated in the 'Communication Quiz', said, “My grandmother lived in the era she lived in, and that is fascinating. I can brag to her that I learned her language. I will work to communicate more smoothly with her.”

Another resident and quiz participant, Moon-seon Jang (61), said, “After hearing the explanation about the importance of language, I am resolved to make an effort to avoid misunderstandings in my daily speech.”

Meanwhile, the "Language Communication Campaign" demonstrates that language need not become a barrier that divides generations, but rather a bridge that connects them.

Then came a worship service, which included a special sermon by Tribe leader Young-no Lee, who delivered a message full of insight and care.

He spoke about the importance of soul-care in today’s fast-paced world, saying:-
“Even people with fame and money are not free from depression and anxiety. That’s why we must seek a life that nurtures not just our bodies, but our hearts and souls.”

He added:-
“Like a broken phone needs to go to a service centre, our souls need to return to the One who made them - God. When the soul is filled with light and truth, everything else begins to work out too.”

His message encouraged attendees to see faith not just as religion, but as the key to true inner peace.

Many first-time visitors shared their surprise and joy.

Mr. Park (70s, Yeongdo District) shared:
“I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the sincerity of the invitation moved me. I was surprised by the size of the church and how easy the sermon was to understand. I’ll be starting the Bible study in July.”

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Church of Jesus regularly opens its doors to the public with Bible-based lectures, exhibitions or worship services in order to create more opportunities to build understanding and unity with their neighbours.

On the 23rd August, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Uijeongbu branch delivered samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and handwritten letters

To mitigate heat-related illnesses among the elderly population amid impending heatwaves that would scorch much of South Korea in summer 2025, the Uijeongbu branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group visited the homes of elderly people living alone in the villages of Oemi and Baekseokcheon in Uijeongbu on the 23rd August, and carried out a samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) sharing activity.

Volunteers from the Uijeongbu Branch prepared the nutritious meal, and delivered it to each household. They also delivered warm letters of encouragement and spent time conversing with the residents, cultivating a sense of community.

During the visit, a large beehive was discovered inside the roof of one home, which was immediately reported to 119. The dispatched fire department quickly removed the beehive, allowing the elderly resident to feel at ease.

Resident Ju-mi Baek (80), who lives in Baekseokcheon said, “It was so hot that I felt even more lonely and had a hard time, but when you came to visit, gave me company, and even gave me samgyetang, my heart felt warm. I was able to feel affection for the first time in a long time.”

Meanwhile, a redevelopment project targeting Oemi Village that was promoted in 2008, but then discontinued, has left Oemi Village known for its poor living conditions and high concentration of old homes.

Volunteers take a commemorative photo for the 'Plant Hope' campaign on the 23rd August.
Pocheon City, which contains the highest proportion of foreign residents in South Korea (nearly 15% of the population), was treated to a ‘Plant Hope Campaign’ targeting foreign residents held by the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Pocheon Church (Seoul James Tribe), at the Songwoo Market Intersection on 23rd August.

The "Plant Hope" campaign, organised by the church to share love and comfort with the community and enable foreign immigrants to cultivate new hope in Korea, offers participants a symbolic experience of making their wishes come true by writing down their wishes, reminiscing about their hometown, and, in return, receive a seed kit.

Volunteers offered words of encouragement, saying, “We hope your wishes will grow like seeds and blossom into flowers of hope.”

Meanwhile, the 'Plant Hope' campaign is being held weekly until the end of the year, targeting both foreign residents and local residents.

Members of the Shincheonji Mansu Church clear up water that had risen due to heavy rain at a corner shop located in the basement of the Mansu Public Housing Complex in Incheon City on the 15th August

“I was able to avoid a major problem thanks to the Shincheonji Mansu Church members who came as customers.”

An employee of the CU corner shop located in the basement of the Mansu Public Housing Complex in Incheon City, which was instantly flooded with water following a sudden downpour of rain on the 15th August, said this after an immediate cleanup carried out by the members of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Mansu Church (Matthew Tribe).

As heavy rain immersed the corner shop in water in the late morning, several church members, who were customers at the time, responded to the appeal of a fellow church member and united with one mind and began draining the water from the corner shop. Within less than 90 minutes, the scene had returned to normal.

Looking back on the impromptu united response effort, one church member said, “I realised that this is how true love and service are put into practice.”

A volunteer from the Daegu branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group introduces its activities to seniors at the Donghaeng Disability Day Center on the 19th August.
“The warm meal and hands-on experience brought me peace of mind.”

One senior who participated in a customised summer experience programme, hosted by the Daegu branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group (hereafter 'the Daegu Branch') at the Daegu Donghaeng Disability Day Center on the 19th August, said this. This visit by the Daegu Branch was purposed to help seniors, who were often confined indoors due to the 35C heatwave, enjoy a healthy summer indoor experience.

Volunteers from the Daegu branch opened the experience by carrying out a "health clap" and "laughter exercise", followed by a galbitang (Korean beef short rib soup) sharing activity that was then served to the seniors.

Director Moo-yeon Kim of the Donghaeng Disability Day Centre said, “This experience provided an opportunity for our clients, most of whom are elderly and may not comfortably enjoy outdoor activities, get active and create memories.”

Through initiatives like this, Shincheonji Church demonstrates its ongoing dedication to caring for its community - not only spiritually, but also physically.

Citizens who successfully completed the "Taegeukgi Raising Campaign," held at Pohang City's Yeongildae Beach on the 15th August, wave the Taegeukgi (Korean national flag) and reflect on the meaning of liberation
Every year, Shincheonji Church of Jesus commemorates the National Liberation Day of Korea (15th August) to raise civic awareness of the meaning and importance of Liberation Day, honouring the spirit of Korea's independence activists who aided the liberation of Korea from Japanese colonial rule in 1945.

Accordingly on the 14th and 15th August, the Pohang branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group held a Taegeukgi-raising campaign at Yeongildae Beach in Pohang City to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Over the two days, more than 200 citizens participated in a range of activities held in five experience booths that allowed participants to reflect on the meaning of liberation. In particular, the 'Raising Time Attack' experience booth, where you have to raise the Taegeukgi within the time limit, gained notable attention, and those who successfully completed the challenge were given a Taegeukgi set, allowing them to continue raising the flag at home.

One citizen who participated in the event said, “I used to consider Liberation Day as just a 'day off', but today’s experience made me think again about the sacrifices of the independence activists.”

This year's 80th liberation, commemorated by the Shincheonji Volunteer Group in numerous locations nationwide, served as an opportunity to reflect on the value of sovereignty and freedom.

The independence Korea celebrates today came with tremendous hardship. May we never forget the strength of those who lived through it.
