Since August of last year, Shincheonji Gwangmyeong Church has been plogging every Sunday in an alley in Doksan neighbourhood

“I felt proud that I could serve the local community after attending the Sunday service every week.”

Since August 2024, Shincheonji Gwangmyeong Church has been carrying out ‘plogging’ every Sunday to remove cigarette butts, discarded plastic cups, and plastic bags strewn in parks - along a distance of about 300m every week - that were causing a particular nuisance to local residents. A believer who participated in plogging said the above.

Shincheonji Gwangmyeong Church's service has gone beyond simple environmental clean-up activities and has become a 'life service' in which church members have a sense of responsibility and contribute to the local community in their daily lives.

Meanwhile, plogging is an environmental activity that combines picking up litter while jogging. It started in Europe and has spread worldwide.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and a Presbyterian Church in Daegu are holding a joint worship service.
On July 14th, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Thaddeus Tribe, Daegu Church (hereafter referred to as Shincheonji Daegu Church) took a meaningful step towards unity in faith and mission. A formal memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between Shincheonji Daegu Church and several Presbyterian churches in the Daegu area, aiming to cooperate on gospel work and raise up future spiritual leaders.

The signing ceremony was then held in the 8th-floor main sanctuary of the Daegu Church, and representatives from both sides joined together in prayer and mutual respect, marking the start of a new chapter in inter-church collaboration.

This partnership is being celebrated as a first step toward cross-denominational cooperation, centred on Bible-based education and a shared vision of community evangelism.

According to the agreement, both parties will:
- Support each other in Bible education and share related materials
- Open opportunities for pastoral fellowship and provide emotional and material support
- Cooperate in promoting each other’s activities and protect their mutual interests
- Collaborate and invite one another to events, seminars, and programmes

With a shared goal of delivering the gospel to the local community sincerely and effectively, both sides are preparing to launch various cooperative efforts.

This event, which was held under the sole belief in the Bible, presents a new model of exchange within Christianity.

Visitors are watching the 'Life Bus 9010' performance at the Love Flower Festival held at the Shincheonji Gwangju Church on the 12th July

“I've been feeling heavy-hearted these days because of job preparations, but today I was able to put my worries aside for a moment and focus on the performance.”

The 'Life Journey 90:10' Cultural Festival was held at the Gwangju Church of the Peter Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereinafter referred to as Shincheonji Gwangju Church) to an audience of approximately 1500 citizens on the 12th July, and Mr. Park, who came to the performance hall through an acquaintance's introduction, expressed these words of gratitude.

The festival was themed on the transience and futility of life, with Psalm 90:10 as its motif.

The performance that day opened with the youth's energetic dance and cheerleading, followed by a 'basket toss' performance, in which the male members caught a female member (flyer) who spun in the air with precise timing. The audience erupted in admiration and applause.

This was followed by a more reflective story performance depicting the sometimes painful transition from adolescence to old age through orchestral music, traditional Korean music, trot, and dance. The performance contained the message that when life becomes difficult, we should seize the opportunity to find happiness.

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Gwangju Church plans to continue to create opportunities to communicate with local residents through diverse cultural and volunteer activities.

On the 4th July, while the 'Air Pollution Reduction Campaign' was underway at Rodeo Street in Hwajeong neighbourhood, members of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Goyang Branch are explaining environmental protection methods that can be practised in everyday life

Air pollution is a global problem with far-reaching impacts on humanity and nature, and it poses one of the greatest environmental risks to human health.

One of the world's most polluted cities is Seoul, South Korea. To raise awareness and mobilise action to address air pollution in Seoul, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Goyang Branch launched the 'Air Pollution Reduction Campaign' and continued eco-friendly activities centred on practice with citizens on July 4th.

This campaign focused on introducing environmental protection measures that Goyang citizens can easily practise in their daily lives and on informing the public of the importance of resource recycling.

On the 4th July, at Rodeo Street in Hwajeong neighbourhood, a member of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Goyang Branch is introducing an air purifier using coffee grounds to passers-by and explaining how to make it
Moreover, a booth promoted the recycling of coffee grounds, which are an eco-friendly living material due to their excellent odour removal and air purification effects, to help reduce waste disposal costs and carbon emissions.

Citizens shared their awareness of the environment by writing and attaching post-it notes with actionable pledges for everyday life, such as ‘making public transportation more common,’ ‘reducing disposable items,’ and ‘using tumblers.’

Meanwhile, this eco-friendly campaign is part of the nationwide 'Green Nature' campaign of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, whose purpose is to preserve a beautiful natural environment for posterity through various activities, including wetland conservation activities, environmental cleanups to protect major facilities and cultural assets, disaster recovery activities, public awareness campaigns for environmental protection, and the creation of flower paths in illegal dumping areas.

On 18th August, Shincheonji Tanzania Church held a Revelation Bible Exam with local pastors and believers

On the 18th, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Peter Tribe, Tanzania Church (hereafter referred to as Shincheonji Tanzania Church) held an open Bible exam on Revelation with local Protestant pastors and Shincheonji members in four major cities, including Dar es Salaam.

The purpose of this exam, which marks the first of its kind with significant pastor participation, was to evaluate whether believers who hope for heaven have kept the words of Revelation (Rev 22:18-19) and to encourage every person to stand rightly before God. The exam consisted of 10 main questions and 33 sub-questions, all centred on Revelation. Participants reflected not just on knowledge, but on whether they truly believed and practised according to the Word.

A total of 138 participants took the exam, including 98 local Protestant pastors and 40 Shincheonji members. Unlike last year’s exam in South Korea, where only one pastor from a traditional denomination participated, this marked the first time a large number of pastors overseas took part.

The results showed a notable difference between groups (Shincheonji members scored an average of 95 points, while Protestant pastors scored an average of 7 points). However, the primary goal was not to rank participants, but to create an opportunity for self-reflection through Revelation and to draw closer to God.

One participating pastor said:-
“Seeing Shincheonji members write their answers so confidently today made me reflect on my faith and calling as a pastor. I will study Revelation through the Shincheonji Zion Christian Mission Centre, lead my congregation on God’s path, and teach them correctly so they can enter heaven.”

Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus has consistently emphasised Revelation 22:18–19, saying:-
“To enter heaven, one must not add to or subtract from the words of Revelation, but fully understand and keep them.”

Highlighting the necessity of testing faith by the Bible, he has also stated:-
“The standard for discerning truth and falsehood, orthodoxy and heresy, is not human tradition or doctrine, but the Word of God alone.”

Previously, Shincheonji Church of Jesus held a similar Bible exam in Korea with pastors from traditional churches, drawing attention at the time. Among 313 participants, only one pastor from an established denomination joined. This Tanzanian event, therefore, is significant as the first instance of large-scale pastor participation overseas.

A Shincheonji Church representative commented:-
“The Bible exam is not just a test of knowledge, but a way to confirm whether one’s standard of faith is truly the Word of God. We are grateful that more pastors are gradually joining both domestically and internationally. We hope more churches and believers will unite and interact based on Scripture.”

Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2018, Shincheonji Tanzania Church has grown steadily, with about 2,440 members as of August this year. The church continues to work toward spreading Scripture- centered faith through active exchanges with local pastors.

The Shincheonji Daegu Church performance team poses for a commemorative photo with attendees after the event
In response to the weakening social fabric caused by economic recession and social conflict in present-day South Korea, Shincheonji Church of Jesus is presenting a new model for community integration through cultural and artistic events.

In particular, over the last three years, the Shincheonji Daegu Church has been hosting cultural and artistic performances, given voluntarily by congregation members young and old.

Performances that have resonated most with the locals include a classical choir, the youth group's pop performances and taekwondo masterclass, experiential booths for calligraphy and Yutnori (traditional Korean board game), which are receiving a great response from families, and the women's group trot performance (a genre of Korean popular music, known for its use of repetitive rhythm and vocal inflections).

Furthermore, the Shincheonji Daegu Church has been holding a ‘Gratitude Appreciation & Sharing’ event every month since February of this year. This event was planned to express gratitude to the citizens of Daegu and the church members’ families who have helped the church grow.

An official of Shincheonji Daegu Church reaffirmed that the purpose of the cultural and artistic performances is to “overcome the emotional isolation in the region and create a place for communication between neighbours.”

On 11th May, Shincheonji Seongnam Church members who participated at the Family Month 'Gratitude-Appreciation' sticker event took a commemorative photo
“I don’t usually have much time to talk, but thanks to today, I was able to share my worries and have a meaningful time.”

To commemorate the Family Month of May, the Shincheonji Seongnam Church hosted a number of events, including a colourful gratitude-appreciation event held on the 11th May. An elderly person, who shared and received Bible verses with other attendees at this event, said the above.

May is considered 'Family Month' in South Korea, celebrated with Children's Day (5th), Parents' Day (8th), and Teachers' Day (15th). In May, Shincheonji Church of Jesus typically conducts activities and events nationwide that enable parents and children to reflect on the meaning of loyalty, filial piety and love, express gratitude to one's elders, and emphasise the importance of family and education.

The gratitude-appreciation event held on the 11th May by the Shincheonji Seongnam Church enabled the 6000 church members in attendance to express their gratitude to each other by pasting prepared heart stickers on people they are grateful for and conveying messages such as 'I love you' and 'Be happy' written on the stickers.

On the 11th May, young people from Shincheonji Seongnam Church gave carnations to seniors in celebration of Family Month.
Most touching was witnessing young adults actively taking a leap to practise intergenerational love. One young person said, “I have always wanted to express my sincere gratitude to the senior members of the church, and I am glad that I was able to express my gratitude by giving them carnations this time,” and added, “I hope that a single flower will warm the senior member's day.”

A senior church member who received flowers expressed their gratitude, saying, “The young people's smiling faces gave me strength, and I was deeply touched by the sincerity of even a single flower.”

Visitors listen to a docent's explanation of "Heavenly Culture" at the Shincheonji Cheongpyeong Church's "Heavenly Culture Gallery of Light" event

To address misunderstandings and prejudices about Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) in South Korea, and to establish and build a solid relationship with communities nationwide, Shincheonji Church of Jesus regularly opens its doors to the public with Bible-based lectures centred on the Book of Revelation and exhibitions on various biblical themes.

Earlier this year, the Shincheonji Cheongpyeong Church (Philip Tribe) held the 'Gallery of Light' exhibition at the Cheongpyeong church's Heavenly Culture Promotion Centre. The exhibition showcased the transcendental nature of "heavenly culture," which refers to a culture of coexistence, development, and peace that transcends the borders of creed, ideology, ethnicity, or nationality established by man.

This concept of "heavenly culture" is found rooted in the Bible. Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, the Culture of Heaven is high and exalted. Moses saw the things of heaven and made them accordingly on the earth (Ex 25:9, 40, Heb 8:5). Jesus saw things of heaven and made them known to this world (Jn 5). Likewise, Apostle John went up to the spiritual world and wrote what he had seen (Revelation). Heavenly Culture is what is created by God, not man. And its higher spiritual values that can bring peace to the Earth.

The exhibition on that day began with a docent's biblical presentation of the 6000 years of God’s history, followed by the biblical meaning and developmental history of Shincheonji Church of Jesus. It also expounded on the numerous signings of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with churches worldwide and the subsequent church signboard changes.

In fact, many churches worldwide are experiencing transformation through Revelation-based teachings and MOU agreements. To date, a total of 13,467 churches in 88 countries have signed MOUs with Shincheonji Church of Jesus, with the number of affiliated church members recorded at 1.1 million, and 1535 churches in 44 countries have replaced their signs, with the number of affiliated church members recorded at 105,704.

The head of the public relations department Gwang-seok Kim said, “The Gallery of Light will be operated as a space open to everyone and awaits the visit of all those seeking the truth.”
