A Christian revival in South Korea is beginning to shake the foundations of the Christian world globally as Shincheonji Church of Jesus completed its nationwide 'Open Bible Seminar: The Second Coming and Harvest' in the Republic of Korea (South Korea) from October 4th-November 2nd. 30,000 people gathered in person at six seminars in Seoul, Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan and Gwangju to learn about Jesus' promised second coming as recorded in the New Testament of the Bible. 45,000 people had registered their interest in the Open Bible seminar.

Very soon, a graduation ceremony will be held for a massive 100,000 students representing 112 nationalities who, this year, have completed Shincheonji Church of Jesus' intensive six-month Bible study course that covers the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. This will grow the number of believers in Shincheonji Church of Jesus to roughly 380,000 as it is being acknowledged to have the greatest truth.

The reason for the rapid growth of Shincheonji Church of Jesus is that it is promised to appear in the Bible; specifically within the book of Revelation. The book of Revelation is a book of prophecy, or promise, about future events. Within it is a promise of a ‘New Heaven New Earth’. Shincheonji (or ‘Shin-cheon-shin-ji’ in full), translates from Korean into 'New Heaven New Earth'. (The reason why it has a Korean name is because the promises in Revelation have been fulfilled in South Korea). In Revelation chapter 21, God, who had to leave the earth because of sin 6000 years ago (Genesis 6:3), will come back to put an end to sin, or Satan (Revelation 20:2, 10), thereby putting an end to all death, mourning, crying and pain. It is an incredibly hopeful reality.

This era of hope is upon us. As recorded in Matthew 13, Jesus sowed God’s seed (word) into peoples’ hearts and into the Christian church 2000 years ago, and promised to harvest the fruits (believers) born of that seed to create a new kingdom and new people. This is 'New Heaven New Earth' that is being fulfilled today as people hungry for truth are being harvested from their churches and brought into Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

Because the word taught in Shincheonji Church of Jesus is pure and flawless, it has a very high average Service attendance of 99.1%. Through the intensive six-month Bible study course, l was able to gain a thorough understanding of God’s 6000-year history recorded in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and the new promise that I must keep as a believer in God and Jesus today. It also provided me with a clear understanding of God’s will for my life and for humanity in our deeply broken world. For this, I can only be grateful to God and to Jesus.
