Shincheonji Church of Jesus' sixth and final ‘Open Bible Seminar on the Second Coming and Harvest’ was delivered to 4500 people, including 1300 Christians and 200 local pastors, in Peter tribe's headquarters in Gwangju city, Jeonnam province, on the afternoon of Saturday 2nd November 2019. To date, 20,000 people have now attended the Open Bible seminar in person to listen to the clear explanation of Jesus’ promised second coming and harvest, as recorded in the New Testament (specifically the book of Revelation) of the Bible. The nationwide seminar, that opened in Seoul on 4th October, took place in Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, and finally ended in Gwangju.

4500 seeking hearts gathered inside Shincheonji church's 28,999sqm Gwangju temple with the seminar livestreamed to local churches in Gwangju, Mokpo, Yeosu, Suncheon, and Gwangyang to accommodate registration from 10,000 people. 

The sermon, as with all previous seminars, was delivered by Man Hee Lee, chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and Jesus’ promised messenger (pastor) who is testifying the fufilment of Revelation that he has seen and heard, according to the promise of the Bible (refer to Revelation 22:8, 16). Chairman Lee spoke about God's purpose and promise through the 6000-year history of the Bible, which has culminated in the fulfilment of Revelation today. There was much applause following the sermon and some participants gave a standing ovation.

A local pastor, Elder Han-Bit Kim, said in an interview with reporters post-seminar: "I wanted to listen to the words of Shincheonji, but I was afraid that I would be expelled from my church if I showed affection towards them. I was ashamed of my faith as I listened to today's seminar. I thank God for letting me hear this. I have received this testimony and have sworn to become a shepherd who is unashamed before God.”

Another local pastor,  Jin-hong Kim, who serves a church in Yejang district, said he came through word of mouth. Pastor Kim confessed, “I perceived that Shincheonji's doctrine is the truth.”

To date, roughly 900 pastors have attended the nnationwide Open Bible Seminar. This is not an insignificant matter as many pastors and Bible teachers in Korea add their own interpretation to the book of Revelation and teach it to their congregation members, which according to the Bible, will stop one from receiving salvation (see Revelation 22:18-19). 

A report published by Shincheonji church shows that 'coercive conversion' has caused two deaths, 682 cases of sleeping pills, 861 assaults, 1221 abductions, 1293 forced signatures for 'conversion education', 1338 forced absences from school or work, 43 cases of divorce, and two deaths. The report also cites there being a total of 1507 reported victims of 'coercive conversion'.

Founded in 1984, Shincheonji Church of Jesus (full name ‘Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony’) has been growing by 20-30,000 members yearly over the last five years, but is expected to grow by a staggering 100,000 members in 2019 alone. The reason for its explosive growth is that Shincheonji church is promised in the Bible. ‘Shin-cheon-shin-ji’ (in full) translates from Korean into 'New Heaven New Earth', which is promised to appear in Revelation 21 as the place where God will end all death, mourning, crying and pain.
