“Pastor, you say ‘the Book of Revelation has been fulfilled’, so why don’t you verify it?”
Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus spoke these words at the '2024 Shincheonji Bible Seminar on the Testimony on the Fulfilled Realities of Revelation' seminar held on Sunday, 6th October in Incheon, South Korea, to an audience of 15,000 people, including 150 pastors.
Through the current seminar series held nationwide by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Chairman Lee is urging pastors not to turn a blind eye to the fact that the Book of Revelation is being fulfilled after 2000 years, saying, “The reality has appeared as prophesied in the Book of Revelation.” Chairman Lee is underlining the responsibility pastors have to know and spread the correct biblical teachings for their own salvation and that of the respective church congregations.
Today, Shincheonji Church of Jesus is the only church in the world that says, “The Book of Revelation is being fulfilled.” Surely, a believer with a sincere desire for the Second Coming of Christ would seek to understand the reason behind Shincheonji’s belief, even if it seems outlandish that the Book of Revelation has been fulfilled in the East, in South Korea.
In South Korea, many pastors treat Shincheonji Church of Jesus as a “cult/pseudo-religion” in order to maintain their own power and authority, but many pastors are now responding to the sermons of Chairman Lee by saying, “Shincheonji is leading a Christian revival through its biblical teachings.”
What is needed to enter heaven, which is the purpose of faith, is not the title of pastor or a doctorate in theology. The Bible says that only those who do God’s will will enter heaven (Matthew 7:21). Pastors themselves will know best that there is no truth in seminaries, Moreover, a doctorate in theology is not indicative of a complete understanding of the words of the Bible. A pastor's duty is to learn the words of the Bible properly and feed the soul.
At a recent conference, Chairman Lee asked pastors, “They say that the Revelation has been fulfilled after 2000 years, but pastors, why are you so busy and afraid that you don’t even check?” He appealed to them, “The truth has appeared, so check it out for yourself.”
Even if people do not believe, God will accomplish His will when the time comes. And before it happens, God will let someone know the time. The problem is that, according to the Bible, only a very small number of people believed. The message of judgment and salvation delivered by Shincheonji is not simple. In these times, pastors need the courage to personally confirm Shincheonji’s words that “the Book of Revelation has been fulfilled” for their own souls more than anyone else.
Meanwhile, pastors are not only listening to the Word at the seminars, but also actively interacting with Shincheonji Church of Jesus. As of the end of last month, 747 churches in Korea and 13,127 churches in 84 countries overseas signed MOUs for biblical exchange with Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Among the pastors who listened to the sermon, 1448 churches in 43 countries voluntarily changed their church signs to those of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
