📰Korea JoongAng Daily published an article on December 17, 2011, which listed a series of questions posed by the late founder of the Samsung Group, Byung-chul Lee, one month before his death in 1987. Byung-chul Lee posed 24 questions on matters of religion and faith in writing to his acquaintance, who was a Catholic priest. 33 years had passed until these questions were published, and today the answers are finally being proclaimed to the public by Chairman Manhee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. Now people throughout the world can finally find the truth they have been seeking. This paper seeks to answer the 24 wise questions posed by the late Byung-chul Lee.

(24 Wise Questions - 11) “What are the Different Kinds of Religion and Their Characteristics?”
(Chairman Manhee Lee) "The traditional Korean faiths 'YuBulSeon' (the teachings of Confucius, Buddha and Tao) can all be considered one religion"
Chairman Lee, Shincheonji Church of Jesus
In the east, there are three main paths or ways - Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. There are many offshoots of each of these religions, but all have similar teachings. Although the way that these three religions, that is, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, have expressed themselves over various time periods differs, they all, in essence, refer to the same thing. In this sense, therefore, they can be considered one religion.
The texts in Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism all contain records of what people heard and saw through divine revelation, but no one has been able to understand their meaning until today. There are other religions such as Islam, Hinduism and Calvinism, but the founders of these religions were not people God had chosen and appointed. They sought God out of their own will, and with a religious mindset they received and recorded revelations from heaven. Yet no one knows their meaning.
For example, Buddha began a walk of religion because he wanted to know why people were born only to age, get sick and die. He received revelations and recorded them, but he could not understand their meaning. However, what he did know was that a Saviour would come. He said, "When this Saviour comes, my teaching will be a lamp without oil", and he predicted through his writings that the Buddhist way would come to an end 500 years later. Jesus came approximately 500 years after Buddha. Even though Buddhism continued to exist after Jesus came, it had become nothing more than a lamp without oil. What kind of spirit reigned amid such darkness? There is a saying, 'Demons move at night.'
According to Zen Master (Monk) Seongcheol, he met Buddha in hell. On Buddha Day in 1987, he wrote the following admission in a Buddhist literary text: “Satan, I welcome, respect and worship you. You are the original Buddha” [Choseon Ilbo 23 April 1987 p. 7, Gyunghyang News 23 April 1987 p.9, The Librarian’s Office of the Supreme Patriarch of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism (Keunbit Chongseo 1) Seoulsa Shiyeon,1994, p. 56-59].
These words by Monk Seongcheol are correct. He did not say this because he had become mad. Yet why do Buddhists continue to follow this religion despite knowing this fact? Judaism killed the messengers sent by God (Matthew 23:34-47; Acts 7:51-53; 1 Thessalonians 2:15), and God sent His son Jesus, but they also killed him because he was the heir. The reason why they killed him was so they could keep the church to themselves (Luke 20). How can there be grace and salvation in this kind of situation? This has become a dominant characteristic of religion.
The Bible says that true salvation lies with the promised shepherd (pastor) and the twelve tribes which are created once again at the time of the Lord’s Second Coming.
