(24 Wise Questions - 8) “How was the Bible written, and what proves it is God’s Word?”

(Chairman Manhee Lee) "The fulfilment of the prophecies that were written by people through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is the evidence"

Chairman Lee, Shincheonji Church of Jesus

"God began recording the Bible approximately 4000 years ago, during the time of Moses, through a vision God made known to Moses regarding the world that existed prior to Moses time. God has used people to write the 66 books of the Bible on His behalf. That's why God is the author.

The reason why God has provided the Bible is so that people can come to know and understand the realities of the true God, the devil, and people who are sinners, in order to bring people back to God and lead people from evil to good (life), and give people salvation. The contents of the Bible can generally be divided into history, teaching, prophecy and fulfilment. The following provides an explanation which proves why the Bible is Gods word.

The Bible is a record of revelations the prophets received, and it is a historical account of God's actions in the past. To say that Gods prophecies (promises), which are recorded inside this book of history, were fulfilled accordingly is proof that the Bible is Gods word.

God made a promise to Abraham, and came to Moses 400 years later to fulfil that promise. Before Jesus appeared, God prophesied about a Saviour through the Old Testament prophets. A few hundred years later, God came to Jesus and fulfilled all these prophecies (Jn 19:30). The fact that the reality (fulfilment) of what was promised has appeared is evidence that God and the prophets existed. What is fulfilled is the promised prophecy. This prophecy is the revelation the prophets received and recorded, and this revelation was given by God to the prophets. The one who prophesies and the one who fulfils the prophecy is God.

The people who recorded what they heard and saw from God were the prophets. History and the fulfilled realities of the prophecies testify to this."
