(24 Wise Questions - 7) “Why does God let people sin?”

On 22nd August 2021, Cheonji Ilbo (Cheonji Daily) published an article, in Korean, entitled, "(24 Wise Questions - 7) “Why does God let people sin?” This is a translation of that report.

📰Korea JoongAng Daily published an article on December 17, 2011, which listed a series of questions posed by the late founder of the Samsung Group, Byung-chul Lee, one month before his death in 1987. Byung-chul Lee posed 24 questions on matters of religion and faith in writing to his acquaintance, who was a Catholic priest. 33 years had passed until these questions were published, and today the answers are finally being proclaimed to the public by Chairman Manhee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. Now people throughout the world can finally find the truth they have been seeking. This paper seeks to answer the 24 wise questions posed by the late Byung-chul Lee.

(24 Wise Questions - 7) “The wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23). What kind of sin did we commit? Since Jesus died on our behalf to pay the price of sin, our sins have been atoned. However, can we really say that the atonement of our sin has come into effect when we consider the way we are living? Moreover, why has God left us to commit sin?”
(Chairman Manhee Lee) "Sin is believing in the lies of the devil. It is up to people to choose between what is true, and what are lies."

Chairman Lee, Shincheonji Church of Jesus

"These are very good questions. If Mr. Byung-chul Lee were alive today, I would have gone to him and given him the answer, but for now, I pray and ask Jesus to help Mr. Lee, who is among the imprisoned spirits, to know the true meaning of religion by repenting so he can understand and attain salvation (1 Pt 3, 4). In the same way that Jesus came to speak on behalf of God, I have come to speak on behalf of Jesus.

God, who is the Creator, does not have a genealogy and is self-existent (Ex 3:14), so He is the true God. Sin is not keeping and obeying Gods word (covenant), and is believing in the words of the traitor, Satan (serpent), who wanted to become like God (Gn 2:17; Gn 3). The Creator God told his son Adam (and Eve), who was a created being, that if he ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he would die. Although they knew this, their sin was that they believed in the words of the serpent, who told them they would become like God if they ate the fruit. They committed sin, spiritually, because they turned their backs on God, and betrayed. This is the sin we have committed. The Father did not leave his son alone to commit sin; it was the son who chose to sin. In the end, the words of the serpent were lies, and Gods word is truth.

The atoning sacrifice of Jesus's blood has been commemorated until the Second Coming through the bread and wine (Mt 26), but Jesus' blood comes into effect at the Second Coming. Look at Revelation chapters 5 and 7. This is not a lie - it is the truth."
