To commemorate the death of Ms. Gu - murdered for refusing to renounce her faith through the coercive conversion programme established and implemented by pastors of the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) - a 30,000-strong rally was held in Seoul (attended mainly by congregation members of Shincheonji Church and 100 civil and human rights, and religious groups) calling for the shutdown of the CCK, its coercive conversion programme and for its pastors to be brought to justice. This triggered a wave of similar rallies in dozens of cities worldwide. To date, the Korean government has not issued a single statement about Ms. Gu's death and more than 150 believers have suffered emotional and psychological abuse through this programme since then

"From feeble beginnings, we are now ushering in a new era; an era of the re-creation of the heavens and the earth. This is a story of great success."

#19840314 #ShincheonjiChurch #35thAnniversary #Foundationday

On the 35th anniversary of the founding of 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony' (hereon 'Shincheonji church'), a commemorative service with 20,000 people in attendance was held in Jamsil Indoor Stadium, Seoul, Republic of Korea, on the 14th March.

The service began with Shincheonji church congregation members - dressed in identical hanboks with the 12-jewel breastplates representing the Biblical 12 tribes - worshipping in song with a solid orchestra. Then, a brief history of the growth of Shincheonji church was displayed on an LED screen, followed by an hour-long sermon delivered by the Chairman (pastor) of Shincheonji church, Manhee Lee. Chairman Lee testified about the purpose and value of Shincheonji church and the attitude a true believer ought to have at this time, according to the very words of the Bible. He delivered words of hope, saying:

"Every prophecy recorded in the Bible from the time of Adam until now has been fulfilled and this prophecy recorded in the Book of Revelation has now become reality in our time today. We can now see and touch the promised 12 tribes where the promised Holy City New Jerusalem will come down. This is not a dream. This prophecy has now appeared in reality. Let's fulfil everything in order to glorify God and give Him rest."

◆ What is Shincheonji church?
Shincheonji church (full name 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony') was founded on March 14th 1984 with its headquarters in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, Republic of Korea. ‘Shincheonji’ in Korean is translated as ‘New Heaven New Earth’, which is the promised church recorded in the New Testament Book of Revelation (Rv 21). The head of the church is Jesus Christ - not man. 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ promised about future events recorded in the Book of Revelation and he is the one who opens the scroll (Revelation) that has been sealed for 2000 years (Rv 5). Shincheonji church is also the ‘tabernacle of the covenant law’ (Rv 15:5) where the plain testimony of the fulfilment of Revelation is given. It is the promised ‘New Heaven New Earth’ where God promises to dwell with His creation and end all mourning, death, crying and pain (Rv 21:3-4). This is God's hope and man's hope. The reason why the true meaning of the prophecies Jesus promised in the Book of Revelation is being made known today is because there is an appointed time when God and Jesus fulfil their promises. Moreover, such secrets must be hidden from the enemy who has led the whole world astray since the fall of Adam (Rv 12:9).

◆ The secret of its rapid growth? The "pure word"
In spite of persecution from the established church in Korea, Shincheonji church has grown exponentially from a handful of believers in March 1984 to 120 in 1986, 45,000 in 2007, 70,000 in 2010, 120,000 in 2012, 140,000 in 2014, 170,000 in 2016 and roughly 205,000 globally today. Because it is God and Jesus' promised church, the word it teaches is ‘pure'. Shincheonji church testifies to the entire 66 books of the Bible and to all the prophecies recorded in the Book of Revelation which Jesus' promised messenger (promised pastor) has seen and heard and testifies to the churches (Rv 22:8, 16). Moreover, the church creates ‘Bible-centred believers’ who, upon completion of an intensive six-month Bible study programme held at the church’s Zion Christian Mission Centers throughout the world, take a 400-question exam on the Bible. Through mastery of the Bible, students then graduate into Shincheonji church.

One of the most striking phenomenons in relation to the growth of Shincheonji church is the rapid increase in its overseas congregation members. Following initial conferences in Los Angeles (1996), Berlin (2000), Australia (2009) and South Africa (2012), overseas missions began in earnest in Germany (2012) where Chairman Lee held a seminar, resulting in widespread attention from local ministers and laypeople, as well as secular and Christian press publishing revelatory reports including “Revelation is being accomplished in the Republic of Korea" and "The New Wave of Christianity". In 2013, overseas ministers travelled to Korea for the first time to study the Bible at Zion Christian Mission Centers, spurring the growth of the overseas churches.

As traditional Christianity is on the decline and seminaries are bringing in fewer seminary students each year, Shincheonji church is growing and providing thirsty and seeking hearts with the revealed word of the Bible. Why not sit back, watch the Commemorative Service and perceive the hope for yourself?J

In the same way that a primary or secondary school student acquires knowledge of the world to know the things of the world, a believer must acquire knowledge of God in order to know the things of God. God is the word (Jn 1:1) and everything in the spiritual and physical worlds have been created through the word (Jn 1:3) so it through the word alone - that is, the 66 books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation - that one can understand God’s history, heart and His will for our individual lives and for the world. Because God is the word and our Creator (Gen 1:1), we must go to Him to find the answers we desperately seek.

There is one place which God and Jesus promised: ‘Shincheonji’, or ‘New Heaven New Earth’ recorded in the New Testament Book of Revelation (Rv 21). The church’s full name is 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony’ (hereon ‘Shincheonji church'). Jesus - not man - is the head of the church as he is the one who promised about the future events recorded in the Book of Revelation and he is the one who opens the scroll (Revelation) that has been sealed for 2000 years (Rv 5). Shincheonji church is the ‘tabernacle of the covenant law’ (Rv 15:5) where the testimony of the fulfilment of Revelation is plainly and freely made known to believers. It is, ultimately, the promised ‘New Heaven New Earth’ where God promises to dwell with His people and end all mourning, death, crying and pain (Rv 21:3-4); a promise which must be fulfilled.

Why has Shincheonji church - which began with a handful of believers in March 1984 - grown to having 205,000 members worldwide today with an average of 2000 people coming monthly to study the word at Shincheonji church’s Zion Christian Mission Centers?

Firstly, as explained above, it is a church promised by God and Jesus in the Bible. People who come and learn the word at Shincheonji church perceive a huge difference between the word taught here against that of traditional churches.  Shincheonji church has the true, pure and crystal-clear word that serves for the healing of all nations (Rv 22). It testifies to the meaning of the entire 66 books of the Bible with the Bible alone as the standard. The reason this greatest truth has been hidden for 2000 years until the appointed time today is to hide it from the enemy who has led the whole world astray (Rv 12:9).

Secondly, in the same way that Jesus Christ came as the promised pastor 2000 years ago to fulfil the prophecies recorded by the Old Testament prophets, there is a pastor Jesus promised who comes today to fulfil the prophecies recorded in the New Testament. He is Jesus’ promised messenger who testifies to the churches all the events of Revelation that he has seen and heard (Rv 22:8, 16). He is not a traditional pastor ordained by man who preaches about Jesus’ coming 2000 years ago, but a pastor who, by Jesus’ command, testifies to what he has seen and heard without adding to, or taking away from, the words of the Bible (Rv 22:19). Many spiritual leaders may claim to know the meaning of the Book of Revelation but one must actually be at the location of the events in order to testify about them.

Jesus, who is in spirit (Acts 1:11), is with the promised pastor today who teaches the new covenant that all believers must keep, which Jesus promised in his blood (Rv 1:5-6). Those who oppose this work of light oppose God, Jesus and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for God’s church. If one claims that Shincheonji church is not the place promised in the Bible, then one must provide clear evidence without distorting the true meaning of the Bible.

#19840314 #ShincheonjiChurch #35thAnniversary #Foundationday
On 14th March, Shincheonji Church of Jesus (hereon Shincheonji church) will celebrate the 35th anniversary of its founding with a commemoration service. Since its small beginnings with a handful of believers giving worship in an apartment in the city of Anyang, Republic of Korea, on 14th March 1984, Shincheonji church has today grown to 205,000 congregation members worldwide. What is this church?

In English, “Shincheonji” is translated as ‘New Heaven New Earth’. The reason it has this name is because it is a place promised in the New Testament of the Bible; specifically within the Book of Revelation, which is a book of prophecy. Its full name is ‘Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony’. Jesus - not man - is the head of the church because he is the one who promised about future events recorded in the book of Revelation and he is the one who opened the scroll that had been sealed for 2000 years (Rv 5). It is the tabernacle (church) where the testimony of the fulfilment of Revelation is plainly and freely made known to believers (‘tabernacle of the covenant law’ in Rv 15:5). It is the promised ‘New Heaven New Earth’ of Rv 21 where God promises to dwell with His people and end all mourning, death, crying and pain (Rv 21:3-4). This is a very hopeful promise that only God can fulfil and make real.

According to the word of God, whenever God has worked to fulfil His will, the devil has also worked to oppose it (Gal 4:29). Slander has been meted out against Shincheonji church - particularly by the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) - because they want to hold on to their power and authority as their members leave and come to perceive the word taught at Shincheonji church. Whilst the CCK continues to fall in number, Shincheonji church continues to grow rapidly with an average of 2000 people of all faiths coming to learn the revealed word through Zion Christian Mission Centers (Shincheonji church’s teaching wing) around the world. The growth is exponential because the word taught in Shincheonji church is pure and flawless. It testifies to the meaning of the entire 66 books of the Bible with the Bible alone as the standard and is the place Jesus promised in the New Testament. The reason this greatest truth has been hidden for 2000 years until the appointed time today is to hide it from the devil who has led the world astray (Rv 12:9). The promises made by Jesus Christ in the New Testament must be fulfilled somewhere, according to God and Jesus’ will. If Shincheonji church is not the place promised in the Bible, then one must explain clearly where this place is without distorting the words of the Bible.

I am grateful to God and Jesus that I am a congregation member of Shincheonji church. Although I had my own plans, I believe that God sent His angels to guide me to Zion Christian Mission Center where I could learn the revealed word for free (Prov 16:9). During the six-month course, I perceived the secrets of the entire Bible from Genesis-Revelation and, although it was difficult having to acknowledge that some of my then Christian beliefs were outside the word of God, I know that I am now at the place where God, Jesus and the angels of Heaven will return to dwell and end all mourning, death, crying or pain, as promised in Rv 21. What could be more hopeful than this?

I congratulate the 35th anniversary of Shincheonji church of Jesus and look forward to participating in the growth of this beautiful, promised church😊
Please tune in on 14th March 2019 11:00am (GMT+9)

In a world riddled with pain and injustice, why is the world the way it is? Does God even exist? If He does, why does He allow bad things to happen? Such questions have plagued man since time immemorial. Some might respond by saying “that’s just the way it is”, or “there is value in our suffering”. But the only way to truly find these answers is to go to the source of life itself: God.

Where is God? In the Bible, Jn 1:1 tells us that God is the word. Because God is spirit (Jn 4:24) and we are flesh, we can not dwell with God in our current sinful forms. Therefore, God has given us something tangible and physical to know Him by: His word. God is the word (Jn 1:1) and within His word, God has given us all the answers to man’s deepest questions. With an open heart, let’s find the answers to these questions.

2600 years ago, God came to His prophet Isaiah and, through him, spoke the following words to the Israelites:-
How you have fallen from heaven,
morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,
you who once laid low the nations!
You said in your heart,
“I will ascend to the heavens;
I will raise my throne
above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.
I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.”
But you are brought down to the realm of the dead,
to the depths of the pit.
(Isaiah 14:12-15)

This ‘morning star’ must have been a bright star. Physically, a star that is visible to the naked eye in the morning sky is very bright and is one that is closest to the sun as it reflects its light. God likens Himself to the sun (Psalm 84:11), so this ‘morning star’ (the ‘seal of perfection’ in Ezekiel 28:12 and later described as a ‘guardian cherub’ in verse 14) had once lived in heaven with God as one of His most treasured creations. However, because of his greed in wanting to be like God, God had to cast him down to the earth. In reality, this occurred when Adam betrayed God 6000 years ago and this ‘morning star’ (referred to as ‘Lucifer’ in some Bible translations) consequently took possession of everything God had entrusted to Adam. Since then, the devil has been ruling over this world, causing division, pain, and death - not least within the religious world, which is the source of so many of today’s major conflicts.

600 years after Isaiah, God sent Jesus Christ to the earth. Before the beginning of Jesus’ three-year ministry, he was tempted by the devil.

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
(Matthew 4:8-9)

How can someone tempt someone else without something he or she already possesses? Moreover, through the prophet Jeremiah, God told people that it wasn’t His will for people to suffer: For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone (Lamentations 3:33).

In short, the devil is the cause of all suffering and division who has led the whole world astray (Rv 12:9). God, who has been working for the last 6000 years to reclaim the world which He lost to his once beloved creation, promises to restore all creation back to Him. When God fulfils all His promises in the book of Revelation - a book of prophecy - the lifeline that was cut 6000 years ago will be restored. God’s will in giving us religion (derivation of the Latin ‘re-ligare’) is to ‘re-connect’ with us. The reason that there are so many religions on this earth is because the devil is desperately trying to hold on to what he stole (Mt 8:29).

The reason why this is being made known today is because the secrets of Revelation and the Bible - which have been sealed for 2000 and 6000 years, respectively - have finally been opened. Jesus Christ opens the sealed scroll in Rv 5, which is then given to one person in Rv 10 - Jesus Christ’s promised messenger who testifies to the churches all the events of Revelation he has seen and heard (Rv 22:8, 16). Unravelling the secret of Revelation unravels the secret of the entire Bible.

God promises to create a world free of pain and suffering. By believing in His promise, Eden will be restored (Rv 22) and we will live with God in pure peace.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
(Rv 21:3-4)

It is becoming increasingly well-known throughout the Christian press in the Republic of Korea and abroad that, for many years, the Christian Broadcasting Station (CBS) has been allying with pastors of the established Korean Church - in particular the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) - to slander Shincheonji Church of Jesus (hereon Shincheonji Church). The CCK grossly distorts the words and doctrines taught in Shincheonji Church and has disseminated lies, throwing religious circles into confusion. These are a few of the most common misunderstandings about Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

▲ If we go to Shincheonji Church of Jesus, we won’t die
This false conception has emerged because people do not clearly understand the hope of 'eternal life’. God promised about 'eternal life' 66 times in the Bible (Psalm 133:3, Titus 1:2-3, to name just a few verses). Only God knows the exact day and hour when His promise will be fulfilled.

▲ Shincheonji Church of Jesus deifies its head pastor as ‘the Counselor' and 'the Holy Spirit’
False. Shincheonji Church teaches that the owner of religion ('re-ligare' in Latin) is ‘God’ who wills to 're-connect' to His creation. If one perceives the teaching of spirit and flesh taught at Shincheonji church, one will know that its head pastor is neither God nor the Holy Spirit, but flesh through whom the spirit of God works. Shincheonji Church congregation members listen to and follow the words he speaks because he is Jesus Christ's promised messenger appointed and commanded by Jesus Christ himself to testify to the world's churches about all the events of Revelation he has seen and heard (Rv 22:8,16). The secrets of the meaning of Revelation have been made known to him and he has the words of revelation which pastors from the established churches do not have. To avoid any misunderstandings, Shincheonji Church repeatedly urges students to check their teachings against the Bible.

▲ Only 144,000 people will be redeemed
False. In Rv 7, it is written that there are 144,000 priests and a great multitude dressed in white robes who will live with God. God's will is 'the healing of all nations’ (Rv 22:2). His will is for all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth (1Tim 2:4).

For a more detailed understanding, please read the link below. In spite of continual persecution against Shincheonji Church both in Korea and abroad, Shincheonji church continues to grow. As it approaches its 35th year since its painful and humble beginnings (March 1984), it has grown from a handful of believers to over 200,000 today with an average of 2000 coming into the church monthly.

John Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus hosted an event for local residents outside their Changwon branch celebrating the 100th anniversary of the March 1st Independence Movement. This was one of many events held throughout the Republic of Korea commemorating the sacrifice of freedom fighters who gave up their lives in pursuit of liberation from oppressive Japanese occupiers in 1919.

Donning white and black outfits, Shincheonji Church volunteers distributed printed copies of the 1919 'Declaration of Independence' to neighbouring residents outside their church. This was a statement announcing that Korea would no longer tolerate Japanese rule. It was violently quashed by the Japanese authorities and it wasn't until nearly thirty years later when Korea was liberated from the Japanese empire after their defeat in World War Two. One resident said, "As I have not yet properly read the 1919 Declaration of Independence, Shincheonji Church helped make this known. Therefore, I feel like I was able to partake in something meaningful today".

Shincheonji Church's gratitude for the sacrifice made by freedom fighters was expressed by one of its representatives, who said, "Although a small campaign, we were able to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the March 1st Independence Movement with local residents. We will continue to hold large and small-scale events in appreciation of the sacrifice and love of the country."

A record 450 volunteers participated in the seventh 'Life-giving Blood Donation Event' organised by Shincheonji Volunteer Group Cheongju branch on 27th February 2019. Donors gave blood in the Cheongju branch of Shincheonji Church of Jesus itself, wearing donation badges in hand.

The Korean Red Cross and Shincheonji Volunteer Group are working hand-in-hand to address the national blood shortage within the Republic of Korea. Shincheonji Volunteer Group expressed their wishes behind this initiative. One representative said, "We hope that our small efforts will help convey the gift of hope to others." Moreover, "we will become a volunteer institution that puts love for our neighbour into practice, spreading love and sharing life".

Shincheonji Volunteer Group Cheongju branch's next initiative will be its "Health Doctor" healthcare service for marginalised people, migrant workers and disabled people on March 9th.
