Shincheonji Church of Jesus Marks 42nd Anniversary in The Philippines

 

In Manila, local members of Shincheonji Church of Jesus gather for the church's 42nd Founding Anniversary Commemorative Service

Shincheonji Church of Jesus marked its 42nd found­ing anniversary with cel­eb­ra­tions across the Phil­ip­pines, bring­ing together 1910 mem­bers at 31 onsite loc­a­tions nation­wide, with hundreds more joining online.

The event was part of a global observance anchored by a main com­mem­or­a­tive service in Cheongju, Republic of Korea, attended by more than 2000 congregants and livestreamed worldwide.

During the service, Chair­man ManHee Lee emphas­ised the import­ance of faith rooted in the Bible, par­tic­u­larly the Book of Rev­el­a­tion, urging mem­bers to remain faith­ful to what he described as the unchan­ging Word of God.

Foun­ded on 14th March 1984, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has grown from small gath­er­ings into a global religious movement, attributing its growth to structured Bible education programmes through the Zion Christian Mission Centre.

The church also cited its expand­ing part­ner­ships with churches glob­ally through vari­ous cooper­a­tion agree­ments, including cumulative Word exchange MOUs made with 969 churches in South Korea and 14,347 churches across 89 countries overseas.

Beyond reli­gious activ­it­ies, Shincheonji evidenced its global human­it­arian efforts centred on bib­lical teach­ings through blood drives, outreach programmes, disaster relief and clean-up efforts.
