Head lecturer delivers a lecture from the Book of Revelation at a gathering held at the Guri Church of Shincheonji Church of Jesus |
In order to address misunderstandings and prejudices about Shincheonji Church of Jesus and to establish deeper connections with communities throughout South Korea, Shincheonji Church of Jesus regularly opens its doors to the public with Bible-based lectures and exhibitions centred on the Book of Revelation.
Accordingly, on the 13th August, the Shincheonji Guri Church held a lecture on the theme of “The Fulfilment of the Book of Revelation and the Promised Pastor.”
To an audience of nearly 700 people, including pastors, local religious (and lay) residents, and church members, the head lecturer of the Shincheonji Guri Church Chang-hoon Kang delivered the lecture.
Lecturer Kang began the lecture by emphasising the importance of the Book of Revelation and said:-
“Jesus said 'it is finished', because every prophecy from the Old Testament was fulfilled. In the same way, there are prophecies from the New Testament that must be fulfilled at the time of the Second Coming, and among the New Testament, the Book of Revelation is the core text.”
Lecturer Kang went on to state that Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been created as a result of the fulfilment of the promise recorded in the Book of Revelation. Citing Acts 5, and in the context of the rapid growth of 100,000 graduates in recent years, he said, “The reason Shincheonji Church of Jesus is growing like this is because God is with it.”
Finally, he emphasised the importance of Revelation 22:18-19 and said, “It is written that if you add to or subtract from the Book of Revelation, you will not be able to enter the kingdom of heaven,” and, “If you do not want to add to or subtract from the Book of Revelation, you must learn the Book of Revelation,” and briefly introduced the Zion Christian Mission Centre, an educational institution within the church.
Meanwhile, Shincheonji Church of Jesus continues to hold lectures nationwide to correctly inform the public on the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation.
