10 Churches Sign MOUs and Change Signage to Shincheonji Church of Jesus in Gwangju and Jeonnam, Korea
As the number of churchgoers in South Korea continues to fall to an all-time low - with a drop in membership of around 200,000 in the Presbyterian Church of Korea in this year alone - there is a growing movement that fosters practical efforts towards church growth, limited not to the confines of denomination.
Pastors and church leaders of many Christian denominations continue to sign MOUs (Memorandums of Understanding) and change their church signage to Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
The MOU is an agreement that fosters mutual growth of the church, because it enables churches to have the revealed theology of Shincheonji Church of Jesus taught to respective church congregations through Bible-based material provided by Shincheonji Church of Jesus. This is sometimes achieved by lecturers of Shincheonji Church of Jesus being dispatched to the respective church, or at other times, by respective church pastors who study and complete the revealed theology from Shincheonji Church of Jesus through an intensive 6-8 month Bible course covering Genesis to Revelation inclusive, and then go on to teach their congregation the revealed theology of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
Recently, the number of churches in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions that are unveiling signs as Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ affiliate churches is increasing. In October alone, 10 churches in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions signed MOUs with Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Shincheonji’s Peter’s Tribe announced that it plans to actively cooperate in evangelism and education so that the affiliate churches can prosper and develop.
Pastors who unveiled the signboard as a partner church confessed that they felt empty due to the corruption and absence of the word in the Protestant Church, and that they experienced positive changes through the revelation of the word of Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Pastor Kim of Yeosu said, “The expressions of the congregation are filled with hope as the word of truth is testified,” and Pastor Lee of Suncheon said, “After learning about the revealed theology of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, I felt a sense of duty to have the truth spread to the congregation.”
The total number of pastors worldwide who have signed MOUs with Shincheonji Church of Jesus and are conducting their ministries based on the prophecies and fulfilled realities of the New Testament is increasing. As of the end of September, 747 domestic churches and 13,127 churches in 84 countries overseas have
signed MOUs with Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Moreover, 1671 churches in 43
countries have joined Shincheonji Church of Jesus and changed their signs.
