“Honestly, everyone knows that Shincheonji is the place that teaches the Bible the best in South Korea.” - Church Pastor in Seoul

“If I were to draw a comprehensive conclusion after hearing the words of Shincheonji, I believe it is leading a Christian reformation.” - Church Pastor in Osan

A 'wind of the Holy Spirit' is blowing strongly in the Korean Church, as the number of pastors from the established churches in attendance at the nationwide '2024 Shincheonji Bible Seminar on the Testimony on the Fulfilled Realities of Revelation' held by Shincheonji Church of Jesus continues to grow. Over 1000 pastors have attended the seminar series, which have been held in Masan, Busan, Seoul (Nowon, Yeongdeungpo), Incheon, and Seodaemun on this day, reflecting the desire for a reformation of sorts within the Church. In just 12 days, the seminar has drawn in a staggering 130,000 attendees, including Shincheonji congregants.

The reason for the widespread interest in the seminar series is due to the teaching that Shincheonji Church of Jesus preaches, namely, the 'new covenant, the prophecy of the four gospels and the testimony of the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation'. The sermons are delivered in person by Chairman Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, who despite being 94 years of age is touring the country to boldly testify the Word of God, centred on the Book of Revelation, for 60-90 minutes each time.

From the perspective of the pastors in attendance, these nationwide seminars are being evaluated as having ‘opened our eyes’ to the book of Revelation. As word of mouth spreads that it is ‘biblical’ enough to the point that even current pastors are expressing it as ‘amazing’, the number of pastors supporting or requesting cooperation with Shincheonji Church of Jesus is also rapidly increasing.

Pastors have responded with, “Through the Book of Revelation, we have finally come to understand the will of God in the 66 books of the Bible,” and “I hope that more Bible conferences like this one will be held in Korean churches, and that many people will have the opportunity to clear up misunderstandings about Shincheonji (Church of Jesus) and engage in open dialogue.”

At the most recent seminar held in Shincheonji Seodaemun Church on the 9th,  Chairman Lee emphasised to the 13,000 people in attendance, which included 200 pastors, that 'the Book of Revelation should not be added to or subtracted from.' He emphasised that since 2000 years have passed since the Book of Revelation was written, the prophecy has become a reality today, and that the world of faith today should be more interested in the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation than ever before and confirm it. This is because when the prophecy of the Book of Revelation is fulfilled, the realities of the Word will appear.

Chairman Lee concluded the sermon by urging the pastors to unite, saying, “Let’s know God’s Word well, cooperate, become one, and fulfil God’s work.”

Following the lecture, Presbyterian pastor Seon-gyu Lee said, “Amidst the confusion caused by various interpretations of the word, Shincheonji (Church of Jesus) seems to be inspiring many pastors because it preaches the revealed word.”

Meanwhile, pastors are not only listening to the Word at the seminars, but also actively interacting with Shincheonji Church of Jesus. As of the end of last month, 747 churches in Korea and 13,127 churches in 84 countries overseas signed MOUs for biblical exchange with Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Among the pastors who listened to the sermon, 1448 churches in 43 countries voluntarily changed their church signs to those of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
