Shincheonji Peter Tribe student members deliver carnations to church elders

To commemorate Family Month celebrated in May in South Korea, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been holding numerous events as an expression of gratitude to elders.

The Shincheonji Songha Church of Peter Tribe held a carnation-hanging event for seniors in the church on the first floor of the temple on the 5th May.

20 student members hung handmade carnations to the church seniors. At the entrance, there were pickets with phrases such as 'Thank you for raising me with God's love' and 'Don't get sick, stay healthy'.

Student members who participated in the carnation hanging event said, I felt I owe it to my parents to express filial piety to them.”

Church member Soon-ok Yoon (72, female), who received the carnation, said, “I am really grateful that the students showed such respect for adults on Parents’ Day (8th May).”

An official from Shincheonji Songha Church said, “We will strive to become true believers who respect our parents and love our neighbours as the Bible says.”
