Pastors learning the Bible at the Zion Christian Mission Center of Shincheonji Church of Jesus are surprised by the unravelling of the complex meaning of the Book of Revelation.
The Simon Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (tribe leader Seung-ju Lee, hereinafter referred to as the Simon Tribe of Shincheonji) conducted a lecture on the Book of Revelation at the Zion Christian Mission Centre in Seoul last June for pastors, elders, preachers, evangelists, and seminarians.
The Zion Christian Mission Center for pastors, which opened on June 20, is operated online and offline every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, and as of the 30th October, lectures have been held up to Chapter 13 of the Book of Revelation.
Students arrive 30 minutes before class and review what they learned in previous classes. Although the attendee pastors are having difficulty understanding the content since it is their first time, they are putting in great effort to understand the overall flow of the Book of Revelation.
After an hour-long class ended, an elder from the Full Gospel Church reacted with shock. He confessed that he had a 'mental breakdown' over the fact that 666, which had different interpretations in the religious world, was not a worldly concept (barcode, verichip, Pope, etc.) but a doctrinal concept (wrong teaching).
A pastor belonging to the Presbyterian Church said, “If he had not explained according to the Bible and instead mixed his own thoughts or worldly elements, I would have spoken out during the lecture,” and added, “I listened to the end because he lectured clearly using only the Bible.”
Lecturer Seong-jun Hong, who is conducting this opening class for pastors, said, “It would not have been easy for pastors to follow the centre's introductory course, the teaching on the parables, and the intermediate course, which explores the overall history of God, so I am grateful to the pastors who have given their wholehearted devotion.” “We will actively accept their suggestions and make the classes even better,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Zion Christian Mission Centre for pastors operated by the Simon Tribe of Shincheonji opened classes in September (second session) following June (1st session), and is scheduled to open again in December.
