It is the autumn of 2023 in South Korea, and as people are coming out of the despondency of the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, a talk called 'We Are Together, Here' was held in Busan to promote emotional and spiritual wellbeing through the topic of faith and find a ‘happy me’.
The Andrew Tribe (led by Young-no Lee) of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereinafter referred to as Shincheonji Andrew Tribe), held two sessions of the life-changing talk, 'We Are Together, Here’, at 2 PM and 7 PM at the Andrew Tribe Training Centre on the 9th October.
This seminar was designed to provide practical ways for people to find peace and contentment amid an 'anxiety-driven and uncertain future.'
In particular, this talk, attended by about 1500 people, including the citizens of Busan and the members of Shincheonji Andrew Tribe, introduced the relationship between 'God, humanity, and the world' and how to find 'me' through the Bible.
A variety of pre-event performances, including singing, a drum performance and GAD dance, were performed prior to the lecture, which received a great response from seminar attendees and also provided unique enjoyment.
Following the performances, tribe leader Yeong-no Lee, who appeared as a speaker, gave a special lecture on the topic, 'The secret to the cycle of birth, ageing, sickness, and death according to the Bible, and how to find 'myself'.'
Tribe leader Lee opened by saying, “Communication between people is important, but ‘communication with myself’ is more necessary for our spirits to experience better living.”
He said, “This seminar will help my spirit change to become more hopeful, and in particular, I wish to explain how the Bible can help us in this process.” He added, “This seminar is being held here to provide the answer for a happier tomorrow.”
Tribe leader Lee said, “There are many teachings in the world. Among them, theology, or religion, as the word means, is the ‘greatest teaching;’ that is, the teaching of God.” He emphasised, “Through this teaching, I can find the way to my life and soul. In other words, if you know the Bible, you can find yourself.”
A citizen who attended this seminar at the recommendation of an acquaintance said, “I was surprised to learn that the secrets and solutions to life and death are found in the Bible.” He added, “I now believe that the Bible is the way to understand these matters, regardless of whether one is religious.” “I'll attend next time,” he said.
After the seminar, valuable memories were provided to participants through various experience booths such as aroma cards, calligraphy, tuho (pitch-pot), jegichagi (traditional outdoor game), one-point smartphone tutorials, screening self-tests, body age test, photo zone booth, and an event application.
An official from Shincheonji Andrew Tribe said, “Following the Bible seminar in October, we are planning to hold another seminar in Busan next month. I think it would be good to come and listen and check in person.”
Meanwhile, Shincheonji Church of Jesus will hold the Bible Seminar in the second half of this year, with Chairman ManHee Lee personally appearing as a lecturer, in Seoul on the 7th, Daejeon on the 11th, Daegu on the 15th, Busan on the 18th, and Gwangju on the 21st.
