Shincheonji Cheongju Church Successfully Conducts 'Wish for Joy' Seminar

[Cheonji Ilbo, Chungbuk = Reporter Na-Ri Hong] Cheongju Church (Matthias Tribe) of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Cheongju Church, Head lecturer Mu-gyeom Je) announced on the 12th that it had successfully conducted the 'Wish for Joy: Spring is in the Heart' seminar.

The seminar, which was held for two days on the 10th and 11th at Cheongju Church in Sinjeon-dong, Cheongju city, was held under the themes of happiness, religion, and answers to life, ageing, sickness and death. About 2,400 citizens gathered at this event centred on physical and emotional wellbeing and the interests of today's contemporary generation.

The seminar lectures were held under three themes: ▲Five elements to happiness ▲The meaning of religion ▲Answers to life, ageing, sickness and death. On that day, Moo-gyeom Je, the head lecturer of Cheongju Church, gave a lecture on 'The Answer to Life, Ageing, Sickness and Death' and emphasised that the relationship between God and people must be restored through the Bible.

Head lecturer Mu-gyeom Je gave a lecture and said, “Living is a prerequisite for a happy life. Just as a house has a builder, if you go back to the origins of creation, you find God.” He explained, “Many people, including Buddha, philosophers, and scientists, have been unable to find the cause of birth, ageing, sickness and death, and the answer lies with the Creator who created all life and people.”

He said, “Just as parents will never neglect their children when they fall ill, God sent his son Jesus to give man what is most important - life. Because it didn’t work out, Jesus had no choice but to leave this earth.”

He continued, “In order to restore man to their original image created by God, Jesus said he would come again and fulfil that work, and the answer can be found in Shincheonji.”

◆Continued applications for follow-up seminars

The seminar particularly attracted attention as a variety of cultural events were held over the two days. Starting with the violin and cello 'Narin Ensemble', there was a cheerleading performance, an OST performance by the musical group 'Yuwol', and a performance by the Korean traditional fusion music team 'Changa', pleasing the eyes and ears of the attendees. Guests in attendance were stunned by the quality and scale of the church performance.

Angelo, a Bolivian who attended the event, said, There is no church of this size in my hometown, so I was very surprised to come here for the first time.

Ms. Yonna Sancararia, an Indian who visited with her family, expressed her satisfaction and said, “I had a good time with my family and children at today's seminar. We plan to attend follow-up seminars so that our children can leave with memories.”

According to Shincheonji Cheongju Church, seminar attendees also requested follow-up seminars. Myeong-seo Lee (pseudonym, 65 years old), who visited the seminar with a friend, said, “I visited without much expectation at the recommendation of a friend, but it was meaningful to understand exactly why the Bible is a bestseller and a steady seller. It was a lecture that could not be heard in the world,” he said with surprise.

Head lecturer Moo-gyeom Je said, “Through this seminar, many people found the answer to what is the most important precondition for people's happiness. It was a success. We plan to hold various cultural events at Shincheonji Cheongju Church in the future.”
