COVID-19 Prevention Goals Set…Focused management of two or more domestic partners and families

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji) is 7 weeks into the ‘Daegu case’ (Daegu-Gyeongbuk region) having set its own 'COVID-19 Quarantine Prevention Goal' and step-by-step management of church members.

Shincheonji's ‘Daegu case’ involves conducting a thorough inspection and management of two or more domestic partners and families who carry a high risk of COVID-19 repeat infection.

In line with policies from Daegu Metropolitan City, it actively participated in social distancing campaigns having designated major tourist attractions like Geumho River and Hajungdo Island as 'prohibited zones'.

In addition, they refrained from making any contact with residents such as family, relatives or acquaintances.

A spokesperson for Shincheonji Church said, “We are doing our best to ensure congregation members follow quarantine measures to maintain the effort and commitment of citizens who are actively collaborating in the fight against COVID-19 with a mature citizenship that is envied by the world, medical staff and civil servants of Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyengbuk region."

He also stressed, “We will do our best to prevent further infection by improving daily preventative techniques that incorporate healthy living while also preparing well for this long-term battle against COVID-19.”

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been having online services for 7 weeks from the time when the 31st case was confirmed (February 18th) to the present (April 5th), and has shut down all its churches and facilities.
