On 17th December 2019, The Dong-A Ilbo published an article entitled “Two-month Open Bible Seminar. Faith Revival Awakens the Spirit.” This is a translation of that article.
Chairman Man Hee Lee proclaims
the 'Gospel of Revelation' in 7 cities, including Seoul
Religious world will soon
become “Shincheonji-centred"
Chairman Man Hee Lee
of Shincheonji Church of Jesus delivers a lecture at the 'Open Bible Seminar
for Pastors' in Gyeonggi province on December 7th. More than 400 pastors and
church officials attended the seminar.
Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ 'Open Bible Seminar on the Second
Coming and Harvest' (Chairman Man Hee Lee) has been successfully held in the
country over the last two months since October. The religious circles haven’t
given an official response but it is said that they are tense.
Since its founding, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has worked
to make known the reality of the New Testament. Chairman Man Hee Lee has been particularly
active in evangelism, making known the fulfilment of Revelation in seven cities
and hosting the 'Open Bible Seminar for Pastors'. At each of the seminars held
in large cities including Seoul, Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan and Gwangju,
the number of attendees was 2000-4000. Local branch churches opened their doors
to accommodate guests who could not attend because of capacity.

for Pastors'
Chairman Lee said, “A believer must know who the Bible speaks of. You must know
what time it is today, and know that you have become part of this new era by
perceiving the reality of the book of Revelation."
An incumbent elder said, “I listened from the beginning to
the end", and confessed, "The Chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus
is the messenger of Jesus." The seminars led to much inquiry from
Christian participants. Each of the twelve tribes hosted their own seminar
within each region nationwide, followed by seminars in some 60 Shincheonji
branch churches on November 22-23rd.
Chairman Lee pointed out, "Everyone says they’ll go to heaven
and they brag about it, but can they?" “The promise in the Bible is that a
new era will come after the old passes away. However so-called 'believers' are holding
on to a vague faith without knowing the promise - aren’t they?” This can be
confirmed based on the number of registrations for follow-up education.
According to the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, more than 70,000 people are
currently taking follow-up courses online or offline.
On 7th December, the 'Open Bible Seminar for Pastors'
included a gathering of a large number of pastors in Gyeonggi province as more
than 400 pastors and church officials from all over the country attended.
Listening to participants' testimonies points to a strong
change within the Church. A former pastor who attended the Open Bible Seminar
for Pastors said, “This is the place where the grace of the Word can be found. It would have been much larger than it is now if
existing denominations had not hindered Shincheonji. In the future, the
religious world will become 'Shincheonji-centred'. Many people will go to
Shincheonji Church of Jesus within the next few years."
He continued: “The fact is that the existing Church is so
corrupt. When Catholicism lapsed in the Middle Ages, Luther carried out the
Reformation. Today, Shincheonji is shouting out for reforms against the corrupt
Church."
A spokesperson for the General Assembly Headquarters of
Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “The Open Bible Seminar was essential in
informing many believers - from laypeople to pastors - about the end of one era
and the beginning of a new era. The only place that can clearly and concisely
make this known is Shincheonji Church of Jesus. I think many people have
realised this through the seminars. For this reason, inquiries and applications
for Bible education will increase more rapidly."
