Shincheonji to the World, The World to Shincheonji!

2019 has begun to usher in a revival within the Christianity and world of faith. From October 4th-November 2nd 2019, over 30,000 people attended Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) ‘Open Bible Seminar: The Second Coming and Harvest’ that was delivered in six locations throughout the Republic of Korea (South Korea) by its chairman Man Hee Lee, who is nearing ninety. Chairman Lee awoke participants to the reality of today’s era, saying:-

“We must believe in the Bible, not in the words of men. We must believe in and verify the word of God for ourselves. One must check whether one is truly saved and whether there is a place one must go to find salvation.”

“In the book of Revelation, the first heaven and first earth (traditional churches) pass away and those born of God's seed are harvested out of there to create the new heaven and new earth (new kingdom and new people) where God will come. God's purpose is to create a new kingdom and new people born of His seed."

"God must fulfil what He promised man, and man must see and believe what God has accomplished. God's purpose and promise is recorded in a book called Revelation. Jesus said one can not go to heaven if one adds or subtracts from Revelation (Revelation 22: 18-19). Then, how can one know the mysteries of heaven recorded in this book and receive salvation? It must be testified through Jesus’ messenger who makes known all the events of Revelation. I am the messenger sent by Jesus who has seen, heard and am testifying Revelation. I ate the opened book in Revelation 10 to preach it, in the same way that Jesus ate the opened scroll of Ezekiel 3 to testify to the rebellious people."

5000 guests registered for further Bible study following the Open Bible Seminar to gain a thorough understanding of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Of the 30,000 participants, 900 were pastors and hundreds theology students or seminarians. These are some of their testimonies shared post-seminar:-

Mr. Soo-hyun Lee (Pastor of the Presbyterian Church)
“We've seen a lot of young people join Shincheonji church. I'm amazed at the depth of their Biblical knowledge and correct interpretation. I also want to study."

Mrs. Jung-hee Na (Deacon of the Presbyterian Church)
"There are more anecdotes preached at my church than there is the word. It was good to only hear the word here. I will study the word with my husband and son.”

Mrs. Kim (A Presbyterian from Daegu)
“Many people say that Shincheonji Church of Jesus is a cult so I wanted to listen to the word it teaches for myself. It is not a cult whatsoever. I’ve always been thirsty for the word, and I was so touched by the chairman’s explanation of the parable of heaven through the four fields. My pastor talks about secular things more than the words of the Bible during his sermon. It was so good to only hear the word in Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Pastors of the established church refer to a book when they preach, yet the chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus never turned to any book and just spoke the words of the Bible. It was wonderful and I’ve received much grace. My husband and son, who are both believers, responded positively when they heard that I was going to the Open Bible Seminar of Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Moving forwards, I will study the word here and also evangelise my family.”

Mr. Joh|Pastor of a Presbyterian church in Busan
He said emphatically, “To be frank, I thought that Shincheonji Church of Jesus preyed on other churches. However, I also thought that if Shincheonji Church of Jesus did indeed do this, then it must possess some powerful and clear ‘truth’. So I knocked on the doors of Shincheonji Church of Jesus with conviction. It’s now time for Korean churches to repent. Common people think ‘repentance’ is just asking forgiveness for their sins, but it’s not. It’s actually changing their own thoughts.”

Ms. Park (Christian)
“Today I have finally understood why so many young people go to Shincheonji Church of Jesus. It was amazing to see the whole Bible, especially the Book of Revelation which I have always wondered about, testified clearly. I will apply for their follow-up course and learn the Bible.”

Since the completion of the Open Bible Seminar on November 4th, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been holding evangelism booths in cities through South Korea in order to continue spreading this word of truth to as many people as possible. Most recently, from 15th-16th November, each of the twelve tribes hosted their own Open Bible seminar at their respective HQ branch church throughout South Korea.

Moreover, on November 10th 2019 12:00 (UTC +9), Shincheonji Church of Jesus held an unprecedented graduation ceremony for 103,764 students of all backgrounds and ages from 113 nationalities. In addition to the 60,000 graduates who gathered inside a huge indoor venue in Gyeonggi province, a further 43,000 gathered via livestream in Busan, Gwangju and dozens of major cities and countries in five continents. All 103,764 graduates had been evangelised, harvested and sealed with the word of Revelation through an intensive six-month Bible study at Zion Mission Center and are now officially registered in Shincheonji Church of Jesus. It marks the first time in modern history that any single denomination or religious institution has grown so quickly by 100,000 people and it is the largest graduation of any single denomination in an era when Christianity both in South Korea and globally is on the decline. Since this graduation, there are now 100,000 people currently studying in the Zion Mission Center. Is this the work of man? Surely not. It’s the power of God, as He promised in Revelation chapter 12.

The growth of Shincheonji Church of Jesus also marks the downfall of the corrupt Christian Council of Korea (CCK); an organisation of Korean churches founded on the Presbyterian doctrine in 1989 which has established a morally bankrupt ‘coercive conversion’ programme that has robbed two young women of their lives and continues to separate thousands of families in Korea. Through deceiving families into believing that their loved one has joined a cult, victims are confined in secluded locations where they subjected to physical and psychological abuse until they renounce their beliefs and consent to receiving Presbyterian ‘conversion education’. As equally shocking is that, over the last ten years, CCK-affiliated pastors have received 12,000 sentences for crimes including fraud, burglary, forgery, defamation, drink-driving, arson and sexual assault. This is the shocking reality of Christianity in Korea today.

Amidst the darkness of the religious world in South Korea, the word of truth of the Bible is lighting people's thirsty and seeking hearts. Multitudes are flocking to Shincheonji Church of Jesus to learn the true word of the Bible through chairman Lee, who has seen and heard all the promised events of Revelation and is testifying them to the churches on behalf of Jesus as his messenger (Revelation 22:8, 16).

Following today's Open Bible Seminar, and in order to continue freely sharing the true word of the Bible to seeking hearts, all 60 branch churches in South Korea will be holding their own Open Bible Seminar from 22nd-23rd November. I hope to share more with you soon!
