The fourth of the six of
Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ Open Bible Seminar on ‘The Second Coming and
Harvest’ was held on the afternoon of 25th October in the convention hall of
Daegu Hotel Inter Burgo, Republic of Korea (South Korea). The purpose of the nationwide
Open Bible seminar is to testify about the promise of Jesus’ second coming, as
recorded in the New Testament of the Bible (specifically the book of Revelation), and the promised harvest, both of which have appeared in reality today.
Shincheonji Church of Jesus’
Open Bible Seminar opened earlier this month in Seoul to an audience of 3000 who had gathered
through word of mouth among family and friends, residential leaflets, newspaper
advertisements and online correspondence. Following seminars were held in Incheon and
Daejeon to audiences of 2000 and 3000, respectively. Most recently, a further 2000 gathered in
Daegu. To accommodate 30,000
people who had registered for the Open Bible Seminar, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, as in all prior
seminars, opened the doors of its branch church in Daegu and neighbouring
Gumi, Pohang, Andong, Gyeongju and Gyeongbuk to livestream the seminar, as well as
providing real-time broadcasting on large-sized video vehicles in Dongseong-ro,
Beomeo Station and Dongdaegu Station.
As in previous seminars, the
seminar in Daegu was delivered by Man Hee Lee, chairman of Shincheonji Church
of Jesus and Jesus’ promised messenger (pastor) who has seen and heard all the
promised events at the location of the events (refer to Revelation 22:8, 16). In
an era where believers often neglect the Bible in favour of their pastor’s
teachings, Chairman Lee said: “We must
believe in the Bible, not in the words of men. We must believe in and verify
the word of God for ourselves. One must check whether one is truly saved and
whether there is a place one must go to find salvation.”
Chairman Lee went on to explain
the role of the promised messenger: “I am the
messenger sent by Jesus who has seen, heard and am testifying Revelation. I ate
the opened book in Revelation 10 to preach it, in the same way that Jesus ate the
opened scroll of Ezekiel 3 to testify to the rebellious people."
Chairman Lee delivered the purpose of God: “In the
book of Revelation, the first heaven and first earth (traditional churches) pass
away and those born of God's seed are harvested out of there to create the new
heaven and new earth (new kingdom and new people) where God will come. God's
purpose is to create a new kingdom and new people born of His seed."
These words are sweet to the
heart for some, and testing for others, in an era of spiritual decay among the Christian and religious world.
Guests across all four seminars have been pastors, seminarians, theology
students, Christians and people of little or no faith across all ages. Roughly 500 pastors attended the four seminars.
These are some of their thoughts shared following the seminar in Daegu:-
Mr. Soo-hyun Lee (Pastor of the Presbyterian Church)
“We've seen a lot of young people join Shincheonji church. I'm amazed
at the depth of their Biblical knowledge and correct interpretation. I also
want to study."
Mrs. Jung-hee Na (Deacon of the Presbyterian Church)
"There are more anecdotes preached at my church than there is the
word. It was good to only hear the word here. I will study the word with my
husband and son.”
Mrs. Kim (A Presbyterian from Daegu)
“Many people say that Shincheonji Church of Jesus is a cult so I wanted
to listen to the word it teaches for myself. It is not a cult whatsoever. I’ve
always been thirsty for the word, and I was so touched by the chairman’s
explanation of the parable of heaven through the four fields. My pastor talks
about secular things more than the words of the Bible during his sermon. It was
so good to only hear the word in Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Pastors of the
established church refer to a book when they preach, yet the chairman of
Shincheonji Church of Jesus never turned to any book and just spoke the words
of the Bible. It was wonderful and I’ve received much grace. My husband and
son, who are both believers, responded positively when they heard that I was
going to the Open Bible Seminar of Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Moving forwards,
I will study the word here and also evangelise my family.”
This is refreshing and hopeful to hear in an era when the church in Korea and outside has divided into thousands of denominations and teachings. Moreover, many pastors in Korea add their own interpretation to the true meaning of
Revelation which they then teach to their congregation members. This steers them and
their congregation members away from the path of heaven and salvation. According to Jesus' words, one must not add or take away from the true meaning of Revelation (refer to Revelation
22:18-19). God’s purpose is for all people - regardless of title - to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Following
every seminar, participants registered for Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ free
Bible study course to learn God's plan and purpose for their life and the world. This comes into reality in Revelation 21:3-4 where God promises to create a world without death, crying, mourning or pain.
If you also have questions
about God and life, wonder why your prayers are unanswered, the reason for
birth, ageing, sickness and death, Jesus' second coming or want to understand
the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation, you can also register your interest for Shincheonji
Church of Jesus’ free online Bible Study Course, delivered by experienced lecturers.
Next month, 100,000 people, who have
already completed the Bible study, will graduate into Shincheonji Church of
Jesus and shine the light in our darkened world. Shincheonji Church of Jesus is the only place that possesses the truth of
the Bible and the path to heaven and salvation. Shincheonji
Church of Jesus will continue to spread the truth of the Bible through these
seminars and their Bible study courses so that all people can come and
learn the truth without cost. After the final two seminars in Busan and Gwangju, the 12 tribe leaders and branch church leaders of Shincheonji Church of Jesus will host their own seminar within their respective regions in Korea.

Founded in 1984, Shincheonji
Church of Jesus (full name ‘Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the
Tabernacle of the Testimony’) has been growing by 20-30,000 members yearly over
the last five years, and is expected to grow by a staggering 100,000 members in
2019 alone. The reason for its explosive growth is that Shincheonji church is
promised in the Bible. It is an acronym of ‘Shin-cheon-shin-ji’ - the promised 'New
Heaven New Earth' of Revelation 21 where God will end all death, mourning,
crying and pain. It is named ‘The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony’
because it has the plain testimony of the promised events in Revelation, delivered through
one person, who is Jesus’ promised messenger who has seen and heard all the
promised events at the location of the events (see Revelation 22:8, 16). Man
Hee Lee, chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and Jesus’ promised messenger (pastor),
is now making this known to people throughout South Korea and the world,
according to the promises of the Bible.
