On the 15th June, Shincheonji Volunteer Group’s Incheon branch hosted its sixth national 'Love Peace' event in a major push forward for the re-unification of the Korean peninsula, St. Petersburg Square, Incheon, Republic of Korea. The event brought together roughly 2000 people - including more than 30 organisations - who are passionately working towards the re-unification of the Korean peninsula. Those in attendance included leaders and students from Incheon University, the Marine Revival Campaign, National Love Citizens' Solidarity Association, Korean War Veterans' Association and the Vietnam Southeast Asian Medical Service, among others.
Mr. Sang-min Park, head of Shincheonji Volunteer Group’s Incheon branch said: "Before today’s event, a commemorative ceremony for veterans of the Vietnam War was held in Incheon, which the Korean War Veterans' Association attended. A total of 8240 volunteers from Shincheonji Volunteeer Group have participated in today’s event.”
A short awards-giving ceremony was delivered to the Pyonyang Flowerbine Troupe (who gave a beautiful performance) and to people passionately working towards peace through the re-unification of the Korean Peninsula.
Chairman Kyusyu Chun from the Buddhist Association said: "Thanksgiving is held to commemorate the sacrifice of forgotten spiritual leaders. If there is no more war or conflict, our world will be filled with peace. I believe that today's expression of love will trigger a great work of peace."
One Korean War veteran, Mr. Kwang-kwon Kwon, said: "I have witnessed the death of loved ones and the horrors of war. Now, I believe that re-unification of the Korean peninsula and world peace will be achieved in our generation."
Mr. Young-ju Yu, President of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, said: "As the Creator has freely and lovingly given us the light, rain, and air from the heavens in accordance with His will, I hope that we will be able to achieve re-unification of the Koreas to ensure complete peace."
Meanwhile, Shincheonji Volunteer Group (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) continues to passionately demonstrate the love of God through its numerous nationwide initiatives carried out by its 200,000 volunteers.
