Shincheonji Church's growth & activity in the first quarter of 2019

1. Lies, lies, lies...
In the midst of growing slander and persecution against Shincheonji church by the established Church and allied press in Korea - desperate in holding on to its power and authority - an article was published that challenged their allegations and exposed the truth

2. Peter Tribe Graduation Ceremony in Australia
The first 2019 graduation ceremony for 314 graduates was held in Australia on the 17th of February. The heart-moving speech by one graduate, who was miraculously cured of cancer having learned the revealed word at Shincheonji Church, strengthened the faith of all congregation members and moved their hearts

3. One-year commemoration of the death of Ms. Ji-In Gu

To commemorate the death of Ms. Gu - murdered for refusing to renounce her faith through the coercive conversion programme established and implemented by pastors of the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) - a 30,000-strong rally was held in Seoul (attended mainly by congregation members of Shincheonji Church and 100 civil and human rights, and religious groups) calling for the shutdown of the CCK, its coercive conversion programme and for its pastors to be brought to justice. This triggered a wave of similar rallies in dozens of cities worldwide. To date, the Korean government has not issued a single statement about Ms. Gu's death and more than 150 believers have suffered emotional and psychological abuse through this programme since then

4. 35th anniversary of the founding of Shincheonji Church broke through the 200,000 mark
14th March 2019 marked the 35th anniversary of the founding of Shincheonji Church. During Passover service given at its headquarters in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi province, an announcement was made that the number of congregation members of Shincheonji Church had surpassed the 200,000 congregation mark

5. Shincheonji Volunteer Group, Suwon branch
Shincheonji Volunteer Group, with nearly 200,000 volunteers, continued to spread their love throughout most Korean cities in the new year, not least in Suwon where they participated in volunteer work held at a senior citizen's center in Pal Dal Gu.

I anticipate and look forward to sharing more with you about the growth of the church as we head into the second quarter of 2019😊
