The event was held with the specific purpose of
informing people young and old about the importance and correct usage of Hangeul in an era when the Korean language is often colloquialised into shortened
forms. Activities included spelling tests and consonant-only Tetris. Maintenance
of the Korean language will become very important when, in the words of a congregation
member of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, “Shincheonji people will help Christians realize the true
meaning of the Bible given by God.”
