Hello Friends:)
I'm sorry for my delay with the Bible Lifestyle post. I hope you've been
getting on well with your reading & found more hope and peace meditating on
the beautiful word of God.
Being born again
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For,
"All
people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the
field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the
Lord endures forever.”
And this is the word that was
preached to you. (1 Peter 1:23~25).
We have the opportunity to be 'born again' through the Word of God
(the Bible), not to perish, but to live eternally. God's will has always
been to give His creation the gift of eternal life.
Worry
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" (Matthew 6: 25-27)
Worry is something we all experience and have to battle with in different measures on a daily or weekly basis. It is sometimes fleeting, longer lasting or, in the worst case, chronic. Why does Jesus tell us not to worry? It sounds easy to say that - particularly in a world like ours - but when we have a clear understanding of the hope God promises in His Word, our worries really do subside. In spite of all we see around us with our physical eyes, we are truly living in a hopeful era when all things will be made anew.
