The Bible Lifestyle (2)

Hello Everyone,
In the last Bible Lifestyle post, we looked at Psalms 1:1-3 which shows us that God will help us find joy, peace and ‘success’ in life when we meditate on His word - the Bible.

Today’s Biblical reference is about love.

God’s Love and Ours
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. (1John 4:7-9)

Written at the end of the first century AD, Apostle John - who was one of Jesus’ 12 disciples and also wrote the Book of John, John 2 and the Book of Revelation amidst great persecution - stresses the importance of loving one another. If God has really sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us on a Cross, which most Christians today believe, how great must His love be? Why would God do this? Please think about this deeply. Apostle John goes on to write in the next chapter that to love is to obey God’s command (2John 6). We will learn more about what he means as we continue.

As before, read and digest one chapter per day, and share what you have learnt with your accountability partner. The Bible App with its verse of the day will remind you of God’s love💓
