In May - a family month in Korea - one of the
many branch churches of Shincheonji Church expressed their gratitude
to 300 of its senior congregation members in a celebration of “Filial Piety and
Love” at an event held in the city of Daegu, Korea. These guests - all in their
70s, 80s and 90s - were touched by the gesture.
All the seniors who attended the event have
been scarred by the Korean War of June 1950 - July 1953,
which left 1.5million civilians and 1million military personnel dead. Amidst
such tragedy in their past, their footsteps have now been led to the place where God will put an
end to all mourning, death, crying or pain and where He will
reign (Revelation 21:4). Because of their
age and mobility, seniors often struggle to work to fulfil God’s will, but as one lady remarked: “Me and all the elder's group members
will keep praying for the church and children and try best to help with the
church till our environment and health allows us.”
